Madison Barton picked up the bottle on the ground, quite a bit of purified water had spilled out, but some remained. She didn't care about hygiene and took a big gulp.
She had cried too much today and urgently needed to replenish her fluids.
"I'm leaving."
Marvin Lennon came out of the bathroom, looking wilted like yesterday's lettuce.
"Okay, bye."
Madison Barton waved her hand, feeling a bit of loss within.
She'd calm down for a few days before reconsidering their relationship.
Continuing to deceive the family wasn't a solution; eventually, they'd find out.
If it really doesn't work, just say they broke up.
That might be for the best.
"I'm really leaving."
At the doorway, Marvin Lennon still hesitantly looked back.
He wished she would want him to stay, but unfortunately, she urged him to leave without any hesitation.
"Mm, go quickly!"
Following him, Madison Barton stopped at the doorway, watching him, wondering why he was standing there not leaving yet.
