Airag and Divina immediately felt a sudden surge of power within themselves. While sensing her limits, Saguitaria changed her fighting style, and her armor transformed once again. All her mechanical arms turned into a projectile weapon, and her helmet formed a visor with holographic targeting. She would now engage in long-distance combat.
Eijin's eyes grew sharper as he understood the effects of the enhancing drugs. He put himself on high alert.
Without any warning, Saguitaria bombarded Eijin with her gun-like weapons, causing him to quickly move to his right side to evade. However, the shooting continued. In that moment, Airag suddenly appeared in front of Eijin, swinging her daggers towards his neck. Eijin narrowly evaded the attack and retaliated with his own bladed weapon. Airag blocked his attack with her other daggers and leaped backward. Eijin threw bladed weapons at Airag in pursuit of his attack, but Airag acrobatically evaded once again.
"He's really good," Airag thought to herself. She couldn't believe that even with the enhancing drugs, she couldn't seem to match her opponent's speed. It felt as if they were the ones being cornered.
Eijin dashed towards Airag, but to his surprise, Divina's eight tentacle-like tails simultaneously attacked. Eijin performed acrobatic moves to evade all the attacks, leaving behind a large hole in the ground where the tails had pierced.
The relentless attacks from the three Shadow Rippers left Eijin with no breathing room.
"I need to minimize their attacks," Eijin thought to himself. "I have to stop the one who's shooting from a distance first. I need some diversions."
Eijin's symbiotes' tissues crawled, forming his own version of tails. They were abstract vine-like tails with bladed weapons at the tip.
The Shadow Rippers were astounded by the sudden transformation of Eijin's symbiotes.
With a blinding movement, Eijin leaped towards Airag, launching a relentless attack. His intention was to make Airag move closer to Divina. His strategy proved successful as they got closer to Divina, who immediately joined the fight. Saguitaria, realizing the risk of hitting her own team, stopped her attacks.
Airag and Divina struggled to evade Eijin's relentless assault. Eijin's vine-like tails moved with unorthodox movements and attacked from unexpected angles, making it difficult for Airag and Divina to find a way to evade. As his improvised tails attacks, Eijin's blades cut through their defenses, leaving them bloodied with small wounds.
"Airag! Divina! Get out of the way!" Saguitaria suddenly growled, preparing to fire a concentrated energy blast.
Airag and Divina quickly leaped away from Eijin, creating distance between them. Eijin realized it was too late to evade, so he teleported. However, to his surprise, Saguitaria's blast was still aimed at the area where he had teleported. With no other choice, Eijin's vine-like tails swiftly blocked the blast, but the power of the blast caused all the symbiote tissues to disintegrate upon contact. Eijin then manifested another abstract shield made of his symbiote's tissue to block the concentrated blast. The blast halted, as Eijin's concentrated symbiote's tissues hardened enough to withstand it. However, Eijin felt a stabbing pain in his back. It was Airag's daggers, but luckily his symbiotes stopped the piercing and minimized the damage. At the same time, pointed weapons emerged from Eijin's back, piercing Airag at point-blank range. Airag was taken by surprise. She hadn't anticipated that their opponent could create abstract weapons like that. Fortunately, she was fast enough to avoid any fatal injuries and leaped backward, leaving her two daggers pierced into Eijin's back.
Meanwhile, as Eijin and The Shadow Rippers' fight intensified, tensions also rose between Mika and Nia. They appeared to be evenly matched at first, but as the battles dragged on, Mika started gaining the upper hand, seemingly adapting to her newfound abilities.
Nia gritted her teeth, realizing that she would be overwhelmed if she will not use the enhancing drugs she has. Her clan took great pride in their ninja warrior heritage and were reluctant to rely on external powers. However, with no other options left, she swiftly flipped the tablet into her mouth.
Mika's sinister smile widened as she sensed the surge of power emanating from Nia. She swiftly dashed towards her, relentlessly slashing her scythe.
Nia moved with an almost teleportation-like agility, appearing at Mika's most vulnerable and unexpected blind spot. With a swift motion, she unleashed a powerful slash with her katana. Surprisingly, Mika's speed also increased, allowing her to match Nia's teleporting movements and deliver her own deadly slash.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the island where Eijin's team were stationed, Rachel began gaining the upper hand in her fight against Jorcelle.
"I don't understand!" Jorcelle thought to herself. "I'm much faster than this bitch, so why can't I land a single hit?"
"Who sent you?" Rachel calmly asked, her face close to Jorcelle's.
Jorcelle leaped backward, trying to create some distance, but to her surprise, Rachel swiftly closed the gap again.
"Why did you attack them?" Rachel questioned once more, moving closer to Jorcelle.
Left with no other choice, Jorcelle tightly gripped her twin short swords and swung them at Rachel. "Shut up, you bitch!" she shouted, attacking relentlessly. "Let my swords do the talking!"
Rachel effortlessly dodged every attack, gracefully tapping Jorcelle's hands to divert the direction of the swords. It was as if she was dancing, evading with grace.
"You can surrender now and avoid getting hurt," Rachel declared. "If you answer all my questions, I might consider letting you go."
Jorcelle laughed mockingly, "What the hell are you saying, bitch?" she scoffed. "Are you out of your mind? We will massacre all of you!" With that, she leaped backward once again.
Rachel let out a sigh of disappointment as she gracefully leaped to get close to Jorcelle once again. Jorcelle shifted her attacks from light arrows to her two short swords, swinging them with a newfound power. The swords emitted a glowing white energy, creating blade-like slashes through the air with each swing. Rachel, taken by surprise, narrowly evaded the powerful attack.
"This is my final warning," Rachel exclaimed firmly.
"Final warning my ass!" Jorcelle responded with annoyance, swinging both of her swords once more.
Rachel moved with grace, effortlessly evading all of Jorcelle's attacks until she closed the gap between them. With a thunderous sound, Rachel's elbow struck Jorcelle's chest. Blood spurted from Jorcelle's mouth as she was sent flying several meters, stumbling and finally coming to a stop on the ground, her face filled with shock.
Jorcelle's eyes widened even further as she watched Rachel approach her. She desperately tried to get up, but her body refused to respond, not even her fingers. Blood continued to spurt from her mouth as she struggled to say something.
"Don't move," Rachel declared firmly. "I've destroyed your core energy. You won't be able to move."
Tears welled up in Jorcelle's eyes. It was a complete and utter defeat for her.
As Eijin fought on, he managed to retract the daggers that were stuck in his back, but he felt a wave of dizziness wash over him. "The blades are poisoned," he thought to himself, realizing the gravity of the situation.
"How do you feel now, handsome?" Airag taunted with a sinister smile. "No one has ever survived the poison from that dagger. It's the pride of our tribe," she proudly declared.
"Let's kill him now," Saguitaria declared, her weapons transforming back into mechanical arm-like structures with pointed tips. "He's too dangerous," she added urgently.
"Why the rush?" Divina interjected with an alluring voice. "I think I'll amuse myself. There's no pleasure in killing him immediately." Her words carried a sense of intrigue and mischief.
