Time passed easily, and once Fred had finished distributing the supplies, he eventually returned home.
By then, everyone who would be accompanying Kisha had already gone to rest, preparing themselves for the journey ahead. Kisha and Duke had also retired for the night along with the rest of their family.
When morning finally came, Kisha stirred beneath the covers.
The air had turned slightly cold, making her unconsciously curl closer to her husband. With a sleepy little movement, she nuzzled her face against Duke's warm chest, seeking his warmth.
