Chapter 170 - Love and Lust

As all the golden swords flew at Cinderella at once, she was completely obliterated alongside her glass, which due to the nature of Yuki's first attack unfortunately survived. The gesture Cinderella made with it somehow had Yuki put emphasis on its destruction, despite it holding no actual sentimental value to either one of them. From the many drops of blood spread out on the balcony, which by now were more of a single puddle covering the entire floor, four new Cinderella's regenerated themselves and they all gave Yuki different kinds of amused smirks, though they all received the same apathetic response.

"Oh, how I feel your passion when you kill me~… You must be like the strongest drug in bed…", Cinderella one said.

"I like to consider myself addictive."

"You never seem surprised when I come back… I guess this one guy, Amael, was it, he was one of yours, was he not? Did he tell you all about me? Was he excited when reporting about our intense exchange~?", Cinderella two said.

"He described you as quite repulsive and insane."

"Ooh, I knew I was his type! Sadly, he isn't exactly mine… At first I thought he was, but then he wasn't, so I just pretended to in the end to be nice, y'know?", Cinderella three said.

"Uh huh…"

Yuki raised her left hand and fire came pouring out all over the balcony, burning the Cinderella's all alive. Needless to say, they quickly collapsed and died, not even struggling with pain because of how hot the flames were.

As their burned bodies broke appart, eight Cinderella's emerged out of the ashes.

"Why do you keep on doing that? I thought you'd be smart enough and had it figured out by now."

"I knew how it worked from the beginning. What I'm wondering is why you just take it like the little bitch you are and not try to make yourself seem strong and important like the hot-shot you think you are."

"Well, because I wanted you to pick the numbers you were up against in this game!"

"I'm not playing games wirh you."

"Oh, but you alre are… Getting me all excited, and making my heart race…"

"…Oh, I see. You have a heart disease, huh? That's interesting."

"…Excuse me?"

"What?"

"My heart is perfectly fine."

"No it's not. You have a congenital heart block. A congenital artrioventicular block. It's a brith defect."

"Shut your mouth right now…"

"Hit a nerve, huh~?"

"I'm perfect! Everyone wants me, and loves me!"

"Bitch I can literally see it right now while looking at your heart."

"That's what you're doing!? I thought you just liked my breasts!"

"I couldn't care less about those. They are obviously inferior to mine."

"Every body is beautiful in its own way, y'know?"

"Sure. Some are just more beautiful. And I'm perfect. But you changing the topic and trying to go back to that kind of talk is certainly interesting…"

"Didn't work, huh…"

"Nothing about you is particularly distracting or eye catching, so of course not."

"…Shame, I really did like you… Love Wonderland…"

The Cinderella's all jumped off the edge of the balcony at Yuki, who was about to just explode them all, when she found her unable to do so or move out of the way. As they all landed and clinged onto each other and Yuki, they all began rapidly descending. Yuki found that the only thing she could use was the Cage of Envy, so she did just that. Trapping them all inside, the landed on the edge of the spherical barrier, causing the penalty for attempted escape to hit one of the Cinderella's, and thus subjecting her to incredible pain and agony. As she truned and tossed on the surface, the others continued to go after Yuki, grabbing her robes and hair, but Yuki's durability remained the same, indestructible as were her clotbes. She kicked and threw them off one by one, until she managed to free herself from all six that were still after her. Now using her wings, she hunted one after the other down, piercing through their chests with the sharp end of her feathers, making sure not to separate any of them in two, which prevented the duplication, but not the regeneration. Yuki used the moment where most of them were regenerating to deactivate the cage and jump back up, flying back up to the balcony, where she was out of range of Love Wonderland and was able to use all of her magic again. She shot a beam of ice down on the falling Cinderella's, freezing them all solid in ice strong enough to even withstand the impact of the fall they were about to endure. After making sure that they would not bother her any longer, she entered the building through the open balcony door, walking last the burned, bloody floor of the balcony inside the quite luxurious room. She had counted only seven in the Cage of Envy, but there were eight on the balcony earlier. So one had remained on top. Leaving the others fall to yet another death, she believed to know of a way to bypass Cinderella's almost immortal like regeneration. At least it was worth a try.

Back on the battlefield, Yamato stood alone in the barrier, his blade having pierced through Shizuka's stomach soon after their fight had started. Looking at her motionless body for a while, he decided the leave the barrier, and see to it that the other heroes were properly dealt with. As he left the barrier, it disappeared since no one was inside it anymore, and the soldiers around him continued their advance directly over the dead body. While looking around, he was suddenly rammed into the shoulder by a one armed, heavy armored huge knight, who had simply ran through the masses of soldiers in front him staight at where the barrier had been just moments ago. Yamato landed on his side, his golden laurel wreath falling off somewhere into the surrounding masses, as he rolled over a few times before coming to a stop on the ground, caughing and holding his stomach. While near by soldiers attacked him, all attacks just bounced off his white armor, and he merely laughed.

"Ha ha ha, apologies. I did not see you there, man of smaller stature."

Yamato did not see his sword anywhere, nor did he have the strength to just jump back on his feet. He slowly pushed himself onto one foot, caughing a notable amount of blood before falling back to one knee. He was fuming, and seriously considering activating Sole Supremacy. However, Marneras described his armor as near indestructible, so it stripping the ability of the man beneath away would still not make him vulnerable. And in Yamato's weakened state, the large frame of the knight was more than enough to kill Yamato in a physical confrontation.

"This tumultuous battle seems distracting, I will cast a simple barrier, if you do not mind."

A faint golden glow in form of a line drawn around them pushed all soldiers out, and left them alone.

"Urgh… This is why I hate not having Yuki around.. But I refuse to die like this…"

He put one hand into the inside of his jacket, about to pull something out when a barely audible voice revealed someone running towards them.

"Wait, you two, stop!"

The knight turned towards the voice, freezing when he saw who it belonged to.

"Satomi… Is that you?"

"Yes… Yes it's me!"

"Oh, how happy I am to see you be unharmed… But this place is dangerous, you should leave at once and—"

"—You need to come with me right now! And you need to leave Yamato alone!"

"You know the emperor? Are you aware he travels with the white haired lady I told you about?"

"Yes, but… It's complicated! They helped me! And we are friends!"

"So are you part of the so called Absolute Empire now?"

"No! Or, I mean… Not really… I'm in diplomatic relations with them. But that's really not important right now! If you… Y'know… me… then you will do this for me! It's really important to me!"

"I…"

"Please, just put the barrier down."

As the barrier disappeared, Marneras appeared behind the knight, having witnessed the assault on his lordship, a truly unforgivable act.

Meanwhile, Tokio was still trapped and blind, truly helpless in any sense of the word.

"Hey, I know! We should play hide and seek next~Do you want to hide, or seek?"

"I'm going to kill you for this!"

"Ooh, sound like you wanna seek! But I want to do that, so I guess we will have to decide by a coin toss… Aaaand, you lost. Sorry. Guess you will be hiding~"

"Did you even throw a coin!?"

"Sure I did, wish to see~?"

Suddenly, a massive silver coin appeared above him, multiple hundred meters in diameter at least. It began slowly descending, like a press ready to crush anything beneath it.

"Oh, oh, watch out, hero~!"

at first he thought not much of it, attempting to fly straight through it, only to realize that he could not affect it at all, despite using all his strength. So he flew away. However, just as he passed the edge of the coin, he was pulled back by his cape. It was as if the coin had hit an invisible ground in which the cape was now stuck under the coin.

"Are you kidding me!?"

"Aha, you talk so funny. Every now and then you try and sound all collected and polite, but in situations like this your real self shows."

"What is your damn problem!? What do you want from me??"

"What I really wannt is to get this hide and seek started~ Now then, you have to hide, yes? Ten seconds hiding time. Starting now!"

"You're completely insane! At least free me from this stupid coin first!"

"Eight, seven, six, five…"

Realizing she was not going to help him, he tore his cape off and flew away as fast into the darkness as he could. Now, with the coin he at least had a reference point to see if he was actually moving, which he was.

"…Three, two, one and here I come!"

In the literal blink of an eye later, he felt something covering his face and completely take any vision he might have had otherwise.

"Found you!"

The entire scenery changed into that of a modern das highschool, and Tokio found himself lying on the roof wearing a school uniform and having an open book placed on his face.

"Ah, I fianlly found you! Geez, Tokio, have you been slacking off again?"

"H-huh? What?"

"So you were sleeping! At least tell me you weren't skipping class!"

He grabbed the book of his face, and looked up to find Aisha standing next to him, leaning over his face while wearing a school uniform as well. As he tried to fire a spell at her, nothing happened and he just awkwardly extended his arm with open palm in front of her face.

"Pft, ahahaha! What are you doing? Is that supposed to be asking me to help you up? You could have just asked, seriously! But fine, I suppose I will grant you my help just this once because you made me laugh~"

Aisha grabbed his extended hand and pulled him up, causing him to stumble onto his feet completely confused and disoriented.

"What is going on…? I was just…"

"You were supposed to be in math class! You left me there all by myself! Rude…"

"I'm… Sorry…? Who are you again?"

"Now you're pushing it! Were you drugged or something? I'm your best and childhood friend Aisha, of course! We've been together since kids, remember? We were basically born together, and our parents had us play together ever since~!"

"No, I was just fighting you and there was this giant coin… And God told us to—"

"You were dreaming about me~? But what's that about fighting, you got some weird dreams, y'know that?"

"A dream…? All of that?"

"Duh. What else would it have been? But enough of that! Let's grab a bite, I'm starving! You pay though, because I had to take notes for you while you were dozing off up here…"

"I… Uh…"

""Uhm uhm uhm", just say okay and lead the way!"

"R-right… Okay…?"
