"Edward! No—!"
The shout was followed by a thunderous crash as the ice barrier shattered. A gray blur passed right beside Edward's head, slamming into the ground and splitting it open, carving a four-meter trench in both directions.
At the same time, two voices rang out.
"Edward! Are you crazy?!" Litty screamed as her hand—now golden, translucent, and at full size—grabbed Edward's fist from above, stopping him from throwing a reflexive punch.
"Incredible… you actually managed to dodge." A female voice came from the entrance of the house.
Nindia was paralyzed, her fur standing on end and her eyes wide, her paws pressed against Edward's shoulder. If he were a normal person, he would have lost that arm. She thought, 'If that had hit me, this body wouldn't have held up...'
"Good thing I noticed in time. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to stop you—you almost killed your own sister, you maniac" Litty's voice echoed inside Edward's mind as the golden hand faded away.
