Apollo gave the instructions on how to use the controls, but contrary to what he expected, his friends found the console far harder to handle than it looked.
"No, that is the cancel button... wait, Mckenzie, the one at the front is—"
A loud bang suddenly erupted from the screen.
The sound echoed across the room, startling everyone present. Several heads instinctively turned toward the source while Apollo froze for a second before slowly lowering his face into his palm.
"...the trigger button," he muttered in complete exasperation.
"Sorry..." Mckenzie awkwardly scratched the back of his head as he carefully placed the controller down. "I was just trying out the buttons."
He now looked at the device as though it might explode if touched again.
A sigh escaped Apollo's lips, though the annoyance in his expression gradually faded. Instead, a familiar smile appeared on his face, the same relaxed smile he usually wore whenever they gathered together to play games during quieter days.
