Jason was subbed off in the 65th minute because as far as the manager was concerned, the game was already in the bag.
Jason was a little peeved as that closed out his chances for a hat trick, but with the crowd appreciation being showered onto him as he walked off the pitch, his displeasure reduced quite a bit and he high fived Iwobi who came on the field for him.
The game in a similar vein as before, but with Jason off the pitch, a lot of the psychological pressure on the Sudan players disappeared and they were able to perform better in the following minutes.
They became more solid defensively and even looked more threatening on the attack and in the dying minutes of the game, they forced a penalty out of the Supa Eagles.
The penalty was cleverly put away by their danger man and the difference between the two sides reduced but it was too little too late and a few minutes later the final whistle ended the game with the scores 3-1.
