I had to point at the fort for the dogs to run back towards it while I followed after them from behind.
Even then, they kept peeking behind to make sure I was following them or something and kept maintaining a set distance away from me to make sure I wasn't too far away.
I eventually reached the fort again and landed in the centre while the dogs had to be put into the cages again under Nerissa's guidance.
Well… Even though I said guidance, it really was just her placing the cages in the path and waiting for the dogs to move inside them.
The dogs also checked that I wanted them inside the cages and only stepped inside after I nodded at them.
I'm still wondering why they were able to tell it was me despite the fact that I was piloting an Exo-Knight inside the cockpit and not out there with them.
Landing my machine and powering it down, I let my senses return back to my original body before opening up the cockpit.
