"I heard from the generals I met at the city walls... I'm very sorry" Xavier mumbled, even though it wasn't completely his fault, he still shared some of the blame for his death.
"What are you sorry for, it's not your fault he's dead, he died in line of duty along with many others, may their souls rest in peace" She spoke.
Her spirit was lifted, even though her husband was dead, her son returned to her, this was a cause to celebrate.
"Xavier, I didn't ask you, I saw a lady following behind us, and I'm sure she's right outside the door, who is she? She's a beastkin right, I noticed she has a horn?"
"Yes, she came with me from over there, I can't go into details right now, since I still have work to do" Xavier replied.
"Work, what kind of work? Don't tell me you're thinking of joining the war, you're a male, you can't be forced to join the war even though you attend the academy, and the Queen can understand you are coming from battle" Xavier's mother spoke as she held his arms.
