Xiao Lang's heart was filled with struggle and hesitation.
Li Mingxi looked at him without pressing, waiting for his answer.
After a period of hesitation, Xiao Lang decided to respect her choice.
With reluctance, he let go of her hand, smiled, and asked, "Do you need me to drive you?"
"No need." Li Mingxi shook her head.
"Alright then, I won't drive you. Remember to call me if you need anything."
Unexpectedly, he agreed to her leaving, making Li Mingxi feel conflicted for a moment. But at least he didn't force her, and she was pleased about that.
"Then I'm going now." Li Mingxi hailed a taxi, sat inside, and waved goodbye to him.
Xiao Lang stood there, watching her leave. Li Mingxi also turned back to look at his figure until he was out of sight before pulling her gaze back.
Then, her eyes fell on the ring on her left ring finger.
She joyfully rotated and caressed the ring, gently turning it, and suddenly felt like there was something inside.
