When she saw her, Jian Yufei was clearly stunned.
From that expression, it was obvious she knew the little girl.
The little girl instantly grew guarded all over, her deer-like eyes flickering uneasily, and she kept glancing at Ansel from time to time.
"Mommy, this is Xiaokui, the little sister I picked up at the amusement park that day. What, do you know her?" Ansel, always sensitive, asked curiously.
Jian Yufei came back to herself. "Her name is Xiaokui?"
"That's just the name I gave her. She doesn't have a name of her own."
Ansel waved at Xiaokui with a smile. "Xiaokui, come here. This is my mommy, she's a really good person."
Xiaokui didn't dare come closer, still full of wariness toward Jian Yufei.
Jian Yufei took the initiative to walk up to her. She squatted down and asked with a smile, "Child, where are your mom and dad? Did you get separated from your family?"
Xiaokui shook her head, her small mouth pressed tightly shut.
