Right at the center of Vord City , was the country most cherished asset. To those who were ignorant of what this asset was, they would think it was some kind of treasure or even some kind of divine protection.
However, none of these assumptions were correct. At the centre of Vord City stood one of the most impressive buildings in the entire city. Its size alone was comparable to the City Manor— the place where the Mayor of the entire city stayed.
There was a reason for the size of this building though. This building was known to house the future of the city, imparting useful knowledge into them so they become better people for the society and themselves.
Yes, this building was none other than Rainbow High, the best school in the city and the surrounding districts.
No wonder the building was the size of the City manor. It deserved it's reputation as one of the safest and best place to be in the entire city.
At this moment though, the school gates of this great school, were finally opened. Students rushed in one after the other as they tried to rush towards their classrooms, planning to prepare before going to the first semester assembly.
As the sound of footsteps echoed through the ears of several students, a different thing was happening in an alley directly opposite to the school.
In the alley opposite to the school, the space began to warp slowly creating sparkles that flew through the air.
This went on for a few seconds before a figure jumped right out of the empty space.
"Sigh... Nearly late again," the figure said, sighing whisfully. The figure wore an official school uniform which seemed to accentuate his handsome face even more.
Who could this be other than Ace?
"They should have seen me. I am wondering if they will take that bait though. That old man is quite cunning. He would figure it out," Ace said with a faint smile on his face. He looked in the direction of Sam and the old Ancestor of the Horton clan.
They will still talking at this moment and the old man didn't seem to have appeared yet.
A moment later, Ace smiled as he shook his head. "He didn't disappoint me after all!"
Ace had heard their conversation even though they were faraway and couldn't help but smile. "I am stronger than this old man now.... "
Ace proceeded to walk out of the alley. Just as he was about to leave though, he hesitated.
However, in the end, he moved entering the pedestrian walkway and later crossing the road to the school.
Strangely enough, no one seemed to have noticed him and they all continued to do whatever they were doing.
All we're almost ignorant of his actions except one person. Right after Ace crossed the road and entered the school gate, an expensive car pulled by the school gates.
Coming out if this car was a beautiful girl with a hint of nobility in her aura. Her eyes immediately fled to Ace's figure as she mumbled to herself in pure shock,
"What a handsome man!"
She raised her hand planning to call Ace back but the pedestrians immediately rushed out to surround her as she did. She didn't even get the chance to do what she wanted.
She could only stare as Ace's figure disappeared from her view.
*******
'So she noticed, huh?' Ace thought to himself as he walked into the school.
The beautiful girl's actions hadn't escaped him at all. He had seen everything but still decided not to act.
'Seems like destiny can't be changed!' Ace thought. Yet the moment he said that, deep hatred flashed through his eyes, "No destiny can change!"
Ace took sometime to calm himself before walking into his class straightforward. He was late to the assembly since he had to listen on the old Ancestor of the Horton family.
Ace soon got to his class and took a deep breath to adjust himself before opening the door slowly,
"Welcome to Rainbow High," Ace heard this the moment he opened the door and couldn't help but curse in his head.
'What kind of crappy luck is this? I am so late on my first day that I get to class after the teacher. This would definitely create a bad image for me!'
Surely enough, the teacher turned her head to the door almost immediately— something that Ace thought was definitely unnatural.
Ace didn't pay attention to it though and walked into the class calmly. Even though he knew he was late, he didn't give himself away by acting weird.
"Are you in this class?" A calm voice sounded in his ear.
"Yes..." Ace said slowly.
"Hmm... Take a seat then" The teacher said as she gestured at the seat at the last end of the class. Ace slowly walked to his seat before taking out a note from his bag.
As he did, he looked around him evaluating his position. Not bad at all, Ace couldn't help but think.
He realized that he was sitting at he last seat at the corner of the room. Sitting next to the window, he could almost see everything important in the school from his position.
"Alright, let's continue.. " the teacher nodded when she saw that Ace was comfortable in his seat. "My name is Miss Eleazer and I would be your form teacher till you complete this school!"
"She is our teacher? Nice!"
"She is so beautiful though! Am I seeing things?"
"If this is our teacher then, we will live a great school life!"
The students went into an uproar as discussions echoed through out the room. Even Ace who was taking out his notes from his bag had to raise his head to have a look at the teacher.
How beautiful could she be? Ace had seen all sought of beauties before so he was sure this was just the students acting childish.
"...."
Ace was however stunned when he raised his head. He immediately realized how mistaken he was.
What was beauty? There was a common saying that true beauty lied in the eyes of the beholder.
Yet, Ace thought that this saying was nothing more than a hypothetical lies. For Ace, true beauty was one that was admired by all.
For him, beauty didn't lie in the eye of the beholder but the eyes of all. True beauty never distinguished between people so how could beauty only lie in the eye of the beholder?
