Gregor knew that before his fellow councilors made a hasty decision against Adam and Luca, he had to quickly inform them about something very crucial.
"He slew the High Priest!" Gregor pointed at Adam. Then he pointed at Luca and continued, "And his little brother just killed the Last Knight!"
The reactions of the three councilors were subtle, but Adam noticed them immediately.
The dwarf's expression stiffened. The hostility in his eyes did not disappear, but it was now accompanied by caution. The old human's gaze flickered toward Adam before shifting to the unconscious Luca hanging over his shoulder. As for the elf, the intrigue in her eyes returned.
The two monsters Gregor had mentioned were not insignificant creatures.
The High Priest had ruled over the Sun Temple for years, while the Last Knight had been one of the greatest threats within the city. Neither had been easy to deal with.
And yet, according to Gregor, the two men before them had killed both.
