Adam gritted his teeth in frustration as the monster was almost upon him.
He could forget about fully healing the gaping wound across his torso for now.
First, that would require him to divert all his attention toward performing the regeneration. It was time-consuming, to say the least.
Secondly, and more importantly, he would rather utilize the remaining mana reserves toward attacking his enemies. After all, the best form of defense was offense.
Besides, his injury was going to heal passively over time, anyway. If there was something that he really needed to do, it was to deal with the necrotic energy currently festering in his wounds.
With no time left to prepare for a spell, Adam could only reluctantly retreat.
His eyes spewed venom as they locked onto the other monster, who was faithfully guarding the lich's unmoving body.
He had not expected these undead servants to be so perceptive.
