The buzzing tremors of Jia's phone vibrating against the table snapped her awake. She let out a yawn and stretched her arm towards it when another arm, larger than hers, promptly pulled it back.
"Let me pick the call, Mingshen," she tried to wriggle out of his hold - only for it to tighten around her waist.
"Who the hell dares to disturb our sleep?" His brow crinkled, albeit eyes still closed.
"My ok-ok boyfriend."
This time, Mingshen's eyes snapped open at once.
"You are cheating on me, Spicy?"
She turned back. "Isn't this the nickname you gave Huojin?"
"That nickname was cancelled the moment I became your boyfriend."
"So what is he now?"
"Stranger. Meaning you should block his number."
She snorted. "Quite a game of convenience you play, huh."
Mingshen squeezed her back. "Don't. I will feel lonely."
