Direction loses meaning, with only a distinction between shallow and deep realms!
Shen Mo currently resides in the shallow layer of Dreamland. He tries sensing it and finds he can leave this place at any moment.
At once, his heart and mind slightly move... his consciousness retreats, and the "Consciousness" at the shallow layer of Dreamland dissipates like a bubble!
Soon after, Shen Mo's flickering, soul-like "Consciousness" appears here once more.
Because this is the shallow layer of Dreamland, aside from him, no others exist;
Everything around seems somewhat monotonous and silent. If he wishes, he could create more colorful and complex scenes, but it holds little meaning; without interacting with other cultivators who enter Dreamland, remaining here alone is much akin to merely "dreaming"!
