Chapter 120 - Chapter 120: Giant smash

Justin was too stressed. He needed to get done with this and know exactly what Hannah had to say. Justin picked up the chocolate, unwrapped it, and popped it into his mouth, chewing quickly.

Justin actually felt calm after swallowing the chocolate and felt like he wanted more. At the same time, he saw Hannah offering it to him.

One after another, he accepted the chocolate. In total, he ate five.

The effects were almost immediate. His gaze sharpened, locking onto Hannah with an intensity that hadn't been there before.

"Hannah," he said, his tone suddenly passionate, "I've never noticed how beautiful you are."

"Well, thank you, Justin," she said, blushing.

Justin leaned forward, as if his confession was not enough. "No, I mean it. I... I can't stop thinking about you. I'd do anything to prove how much I care."

Hannah's lips curled into a small smile. "Anything?"

"Anything," Justin confirmed under the potion's effect.

Hannah thought for a while and then said.

"You know I have always wanted to explore the Forbidden Forest. I have dreamt of a strong prince defying everything and taking me there. If you're brave enough to go in there with me, maybe I'll believe you."

The love potion had him in its grip, his mind consumed by thoughts of Hannah. He would follow her anywhere and do anything to win her favor.

He immediately agreed and walked secretly out of Hogwarts Castle until they stood near the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

They entered the Forbidden Forest, and both had their wands in their hands. After walking for a few minutes, the entrance disappeared behind them, and they were completely surrounded by the dark forest.

The further they went in, the denser the forest became.

"Don't you think we have gone far enough?" Justin could not hide the fear in his voice as he kept looking around the dark forest for anything unusual.

"Just a bit further," said Hannah as if something in her mind was telling her where to go. It was only due to the effect of the love potion that Justin overcame his fear and continued.

After all, Daphne had given her the love potion Amortentia, the strongest one ever to exist.

They walked for another fifteen minutes until they reached a spot where the ground was uneven, the surrounding trees had been violently ripped from the soil, and a large mound of earth was present.

Justin's wand hand trembled as he scanned the clearing. "What... what happened here?" he whispered, casting a glance at Hannah.

Hannah looked more scared and approached Justin as she hugged his arm.

Justin felt over the moon as she felt Hannah's chest squeeze against his arm.

"It must have been some sort of beast, but don't worry." The fear disappeared from him, overpowered by love.

His courage, bolstered by the potion's effects, urged him forward. "If I can get to the top, I'll be able to see what's around," he said, trying to impress Hannah.

Just as he was about to take a step, the ground in front of him shifted.

A loud rumble echoed through the forest, vibrating through Justin's bones. He froze, his wide eyes locked on the mound as it began to move. Dirt cascaded down its sides, and an immense shape began to rise.

The earth wasn't a mound at all.

It was the back of something alive.

A monstrous head emerged first, the size of a carriage. The creature continued to rise, its massive shoulders and broad chest emerging as it pushed its enormous hands against the ground to lift itself onto its knees. The sheer size of the humanoid figure was staggering, making Justin realize that it was a giant in front of him.

This giant was no other than Grawp, Hagrid's half-brother.

"Look there, ropes," Hannah's shouts made Justin realize that its ankles and wrists were chained. But he did not have time to think as Hannah commanded him, "Attack it quickly."

Justin gripped his wand tighter, staring at the enormous creature rising before him. His heart raced, but the potent effects of the love potion drowned his fear in a desperate need to prove himself to Hannah.

"Incendio!" he shouted.

The jet of flames erupted from his wand, surging towards the giant. The fire reached its target and hit the creature's skin, and Grawp let out a deafening roar of agony.

Its body twisted as its bound wrists strained against the thick ropes.

"Keep going, Justin!" Hannah called from behind him.

Encouraged, Justin continued, aiming more flames at the struggling creature. The ropes, already worn from the giant's movements, were heating up from the fire spell.

One by one, the fibers began to snap.

Suddenly, Hannah stepped away from Justin, her expression unreadable as she retreated into the shadows of the forest. Justin glanced back, his courage faltering.

"Hannah? Where are you going?"

The loud snap of a breaking rope brought his focus sharply back to the giant. The creature roared again, pulling its arms free and tearing at the bindings around its legs. The final rope broke, and the beast stood to its full, terrifying height.

Justin stumbled backward, his breath coming in ragged gasps. The giant reached down, seizing a massive tree trunk with one hand. Its eyes searched around for the source of the attack.

Finally, he locked onto Justin.

Frozen in place, Justin felt a cold wave of terror washing over him. His legs refused to move, even as every instinct screamed at him to run. He glanced around for Hannah, but she was gone.

The giant roared and began moving toward him, its steps shaking the ground. Justin's wand slipped from his trembling fingers, falling on the ground. The tree trunk, now wielded like a club, swung in a devastating arc.

Justin stared, wide-eyed, as the immense trunk rushed toward him. He tried to scream, to beg for mercy, but no sound escaped his lips. Time seemed to slow as the enormous tree descended.

Boom.

The sound resonated through the forest. Dirt and debris rose in a cloud, obscuring the horrifying scene. When the dust began to settle, the clearing was eerily quiet. The giant stood still, the tree trunk resting on the ground beside it.

In the center of the destruction, a gruesome sight awaited. Blood pooled on the ground, mingling with scattered, unrecognizable pieces of flesh and organs.

Justin Finch-Fletchley, the muggle-born wizard of House Hugglepuff, was squashed to death.
