Chapter 883 - Chapter 883: Conditions and Women

"Thank you, Mr. Alaric, for providing me with such great help."

After inspecting and confirming the functions of the divine artifact, Il once again expressed his gratitude to Alaric.

"So, as a price, what can I do for you?"

"It's actually very simple," Alaric shrugged.

"After you successfully take your revenge, I need you not to stop.

Continue expanding your sphere of influence, bring more humans under your command, and eliminate all pantheons that stand in your way."

"Ex… expand?" Il was stunned for a moment. He hadn't expected such a request.

But it sounded entirely beneficial to himself, what benefit could the other party possibly gain from this?

Then, he immediately thought of a loophole.

"Then, even opponents like the Heliopolis pantheon and the Zoroastrian pantheon must also be eliminated?"

This was indeed a problem. In such powerful pantheons, there were several chief gods who had reached the level of great divine power.

Facing such forces, even if he possessed an enormous amount of faith power and deployed "Genesis: Eden," he wouldn't dare claim a guaranteed victory.

Even with the advantage of surprise, the outcome would still be fifty-fifty.

If Alaric's condition was for him to deal with such opponents, then he would truly have to think carefully about whether to accept.

However, to his surprise, the man before him shook his head.

"No, I don't need you to deal with opponents of that level," he said. "You only need to defeat weaker pantheons to expand.

Any pantheon capable of forming its own divine domain, you can ignore them entirely."

Pantheons capable of forming their own divine domains were the strongest in the world. Once such pantheons engaged in divine war, it would lead to catastrophic destruction.

Even Gaia would not wish to see such a situation occur, so these pantheons signed agreements, dividing their respective territories.

Originally, the territory occupied by the Canaanite pantheon should have belonged to another pantheon that participated in the divine domain accords, the Mesopotamian pantheon, the gods of ancient Babylon: the moon god Sin, the sun god Shamash, the goddess of Venus Ishtar, the underworld goddess Ereshkigal, and so on.

However, due to the Mesopotamian gods once staking everything on the "Chain of Heaven Project," only to be betrayed by the core figures of the plan, the demigod king Gilgamesh and the Chain of Heaven Enkidu, they instead began to decline and eventually faded into obscurity.

In the divine domain they left behind, second-tier pantheons like the Canaanite pantheon gradually rose, leading to the current situation.

Hearing Alaric's condition, Il could hardly believe it.

"This… is this real?" he hesitated. "That's all?"

He even felt that, even if Alaric hadn't made this a condition, he himself would have done the same.

"I told you, my condition is something you're willing to do anyway," Alaric whistled. "So, will you agree?"

"Of course." Having made up his mind, Il appeared extremely straightforward. "Then we have a deal."

"In that case, my task is complete." Alaric smiled cheerfully, clearly in a good mood, though Il couldn't shake the feeling that something was hidden behind that smile, making him somewhat uneasy.

"Make good use of this power. If I were you, I would use it under the guise of a new god. If you lack enough believers to provide faith, I suggest you create a new batch of humans.

You can consider my advice… until we meet again."

With a wave of his hand, the man Il still could not understand departed from his palace once more.

But this time, it might be a long while before they met again.

"Use this power as a new god, create a new identity? That actually sounds quite reasonable."

After reflecting on Alaric's words, Il's eyes lit up.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

The earth was formless and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness.

God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening, and there was morning, the first day…

…And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creeping things, and beasts of the earth, each according to its kind." And it was so.

And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind.

And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the livestock, all the earth, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them…

And the Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it.

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

And the Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make a helper fit for him."

Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.

So the man gave names to all livestock, the birds of the air, and every beast of the field. But for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.

So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place.

Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the man, and brought her to the man.

And the man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man…"

"Snap!"

At this point, Alaric rolled up the parchment scroll in his hand again.

"So this is the scripture about the god you believe in?"

Looking at the beautiful naked woman before him, Alaric asked.

"Yes."

The woman nodded. Every movement she made carried an extreme allure, her charm innate and stirring.

Yet the male mage before her didn't even furrow his brow. He simply muttered to himself, "This thing actually appeared this early?

Just as I expected… though there seems to be a problem.

Clearly, on the sixth day both man and woman were created, but afterward only the man remains, and then a woman is specially created from the man's rib. That seems a bit off.

So the woman who was erased by divine concealment earlier, that would be you, right?"

The last sentence sounded like self-talk, yet also seemed directed at the woman before him.

"…Yes, you are truly wise." The woman hesitated for a moment, then finally admitted it.

"Then, your name?"

"Lilith."
