Although Alaric held a certain degree of disdain for this easily tempted god-king, his promise to him was by no means false.
Several weeks later, Alaric once again arrived at El's palace.
This time, he brought El a powerful divine spell, as well as two sets of divine artifacts.
Divine spells were techniques that could only be driven by divine power.
Generally speaking, they were considered common abilities shared among gods, and also the most basic universal applications of divine power.
For example, creating divine artifacts, controlling animals and plants, creating avatars, issuing decrees of death, and so on.
Although the use of these abilities was not as powerful as a god's domain, even so, mortals were essentially helpless before them.
More importantly, as long as one possessed sufficient divinity and divine power, any god could learn these divine spells.
And what Alaric had brought him was precisely such a spell.
Its name was, "Genesis · Gan Eden."
This spell shared similarities with a Reality Marble, but was actually more complex.
A Reality Marble manifested the user's inner landscape through a storm of the mind, a magic that used one's personal world to erode reality.
But the source of "Genesis · Gan Eden" was not any mental landscape storm.
Alaric did not believe that this weak and aging god possessed the powerful will required to erode the world through such means.
In truth, the source of this divine spell was a seed of a demiplane.
Generally speaking, a demiplane was similar to an ordinary plane, but it was an extradimensional space with measurable size and limited pathways.
Other planes were theoretically infinite, but a demiplane might only be a few hundred feet across.
In theory, demiplanes could be artificially created. Top-tier mages and gods usually had the ability to create them.
However, the seed associated with "Genesis · Gan Eden" was different, because this demiplane had been anchored by Alaric and was closely connected to the Earth of the Type-Moon world, or rather, tightly connected to the planet's ley lines.
This was the handiwork of Hecate.
At the same time, Alaric had imbued this demiplane with concepts, the ultimate love of humans toward gods and the ultimate hatred toward gods, in other words, the ultimate good and ultimate evil of humanity.
These were gathered by Alaric during his travels across various worlds.
Two completely opposing concepts were organically fused together, turning the seed of the demiplane into two sides of the same whole.
And "Genesis · Gan Eden" was the powerful divine spell born from this demiplane.
Once activated, the demiplane would fully unfold, eroding and covering the world like a Reality Marble, dragging all existence within its range into it.
This dual-aspect demiplane had two modes of manifestation:
"Genesis · Elysian Heavens"
"Genesis · Burning Hells"
The former was filled with beauty and goodness, as well as the utmost worship and benevolence toward gods.
The latter, however, was filled with corruption and evil, embodying the most extreme malice toward deities.
As mentioned before, the power of emotions could influence gods. For them, it could be the most exquisite nourishment, or the most potent poison.
The former was the power of faith, which could strengthen gods. The latter was blasphemy and curses against gods, which could cause them to distort and fall.
The seed of "Genesis · Eden" was precisely such an existence, it could grow through divine power and faith, and even through negative faith toward gods, hatred itself.
When the seed of the demiplane grew sufficiently and matured into a stable demiplane, it could be used in battles between gods.
If Elysian Heavens could be considered the most suitable dwelling place for gods, then Burning Hells was a true domain of blasphemy.
Within it, gods would be affected by the overwhelming evil and corruption, as well as the purest hatred and malice directed toward divinity.
Generally speaking, gods were fundamentally positive existences and enemies of demons, no matter what kind of god, in such an environment saturated with negative emotions, they could not avoid being affected, and their power would be greatly diminished.
However, just as gods of the Age of Gods did not require faith to exist, under conditions where true ether was present, emotional power normally could not influence them.
But within this demiplane, Alaric had linked the "fate of gods" with "true ether."
Simply put, the denial of gods equated to the denial of true ether.
When Burning Hells was activated, true ether, as one of the fundamental elements of the world, would be completely eradicated, its existence instead infused into Elysian Heavens.
As a result, gods dragged into Burning Hells would be forced to rely solely on the power of faith in battle.
Under such conditions, the intensely negative environment would have a massive impact on them.
Thus, when both sides fought within this environment, what determined the outcome was the accumulation and utilization of faith.
And in this regard, although El had lost his throne to Baal, as an ancient god, his accumulation of faith far surpassed that of other deities.
Combined with his domain of "omnipotence," he could handle nearly any type of god with ease, even countering them.
Moreover, with Elysian Heavens as his backing, while El could not create an entirely unequal battlefield where he alone possessed true ether while his enemies were deprived of it.
He could ensure that the negative emotions of Burning Hells did not affect him, while his enemies had no choice but to endure this debuff.
The combination of these factors allowed this divine spell to become El's ultimate weapon for revenge against the gods, and also made him the best weapon for Alaric to use against the pantheon.
Of course, the uses of "Genesis · Eden" did not end there.
Each time "Genesis · Eden" was cast in the form of "Genesis · Burning Hells," the true ether in the surrounding world would be completely purged and absorbed into "Genesis · Elysian Heavens."
Thus, every time "Genesis · Burning Hells" was activated, a region of land would become a "dead magic zone" where true ether was severed, though this applied only to beings of the Age of Gods.
Although within a few hours, the missing true ether in that region would be replenished by true ether flowing in from elsewhere, for the world as a whole, such losses were completely irreversible. With the continued use of "Genesis · Eden," the total amount of true ether in the world would steadily decline.
Of course, this occurred because "Genesis · Eden" was anchored to this world, making the two conceptually one.
When true ether entered Elysian Heavens, its total quantity was not transformed.
Therefore, according to the properties of true ether, it would not regenerate because of this, otherwise, the Age of Gods would never have come to an end.
