"You disrespectful, old hag!"
My heart pounded violently as Conrad – King Tanner's so-called brother slammed me against the wall, his burly forearm pressing into my throat. I clawed desperately at his iron grip, gasping for air.
"Didn't you learn manners? Weren't you told that you don't speak to men that way? Just because you're married to a Lycan King doesn't give you the right to speak to me in anyways you wretched, Werewolf,".
I managed to wedge my hand between his and my throat, creating a little allowance for my airway. Facing him, I gave him an amused glance "One would mistake you for an Omega because that's the attitude you're giving me right now," I retorted.
He tightened his grip and pressed harder into me. "You'll tell me everything," he snarled, spittle flying from his twisted mouth "Why did you want to see King Tanner? What are you going to tell him? Who sent you? Tell me this instant before I lose what is left of my temper on you,".
