Chapter 112 - Chapter(105)

Episode(105) Where Is My Fly Swatter, T*nkerbell?

SOVEREIGN OF DEATH~(105)

[Rest in peace, hero of men]

Nagisa gave a show of reverence to this fallen hero.

I may not have known this fellow, but according to what Camilla said even despite their personal quirks they were individuals that gave their life for the survival of humanity.

They at least deserved some level of respect.

It remained to be questioned whether I had to show respect however when it wasn't even my world, still it wouldn't hurt since I was going to take his abilities for myself.

[With that said-]

[Calamitous Tempest]:

The storm of the gods. When activated, this trait ignores all defenses and devours all entities caught in the storms wrath.

Effect(1): Extra skill [Wind Manipulation(S)] has been obtained.

Effect(2): Individual has gained an extremely high compatibility with the wind element.

Effect(3): unique trait skill [Apocalypse Storm(F-Growth Skill)] has been awakened. When the user's strength stat surpasses the target, all defenses will be ignored. Current F rank provides a low amount of damage to opponents.

I looked at the new skill in both awe and stuper.

[I know my 'Ruler Constitution' is somewhat special-]

But at this rate it felt like cheating.

All attack based traits would evolve the moment he gained them.

For others, this effect would be meaningless since they only had a few traits but for Nagisa who gained traits every other month this was like handing him the key to the world.

Not that I'm complaining.

With Master and Ruler, he could gain an endless amount of cheat tier abilities so why complain?

Rather, give me more!

With 'Master' and 'Ruler', it was basically just speed running the entire game.

As long as I continued to obtain those high grade unique skills, Ruler would upgrade them and mastering them with Master would not be any difficult issue at all.

Both the title and trait had such good synergy with each other Nagisa was a bit suspicious.

If not for the fact that he recalled living on earth he might suspect he had some roots here in this world.

A sudden thought came to mind through all this.

What if I collected all the traits belonging to the heroes of this dungeon? What would happen then?

[Especially that strongest hero guy]

If I exploited his skills then what type of trait would receive?

Licking his lips, Nagisa almost couldn't contain the impatience raising in his stomach.

Too bad, the hero's body was likely on a higher floor and I had no time to think about that now.

[Come to think of it, I probably shouldn't waste any more time here]

He scratched his head thinking of what excuses to tell Camilla and sighed.

With nothing left to see, I prepared to leave the area and restart my search for a path that lead out of the maze, yet-

????

Behind me, where the hero's corpse had once been a swirl of energy appeared out of nowhere.

I turned quickly and saw what looked like an orb of light floating silently in the space.

Nagisa didn't retreat, he felt no threat at all and was only curious what it could be.

[This is-]

The orb of light emitted mana so pure it felt as if there was no negative energy contained at all.

If I had to say what it felt like, it felt less like the mana that was used by creatures and more like the mana that was present in nature.

Curious, I couldn't help but give the orb a poke.

However-

A blinding light swallowed the surroundings. Quickly shutting my eyes, I waited patiently for the light to vanish before squinting.

As I did, a childish female voice entered my ears.

[Ah...finally-]

It seemed no different from a child's voice. One that had finally escaped the confines of their house for the first time.

[Finally I'm free from that seal!]

When my eyes caught what made such a voice I was stunned.

[How many years was I even trapped for? Just wait, when I find that damned hero I'll beat him up then sever the contract! Screw being a hero's exclusive spirit!]

It was a hand sized girl, transparent fluttering wings of her back spreading what seemed like glitter.

However that glitter would slowly vanish after falling from her wings.

A figure came to mind when I saw this thing-

't*nkerbell?'

Yet the thing continued yapping as if it hadn't noticed his presence.

[Who gave a mere hero the right to seal away this fairy queen?]

Indignation written on her face she was clearly angry as she balled her tiny hands into fists and began to jab at the empty air.

[Even if you're a hero, I'll show you the price of getting this queen worked up!]

Who could understand her rage?

How long had she been sealed away by that bastard, her a dignified wind spirit queen.

Nothing could quell her anger.

Nagisa looked on at this thing with irritation in his eyes.

Just how long was this thing going to ignore me?

[Umm]

At his tone, the fairy queen made an annoyed face and turned.

[Huh, Who are you?]

Her posture seemed to be asking how he dare talk to her so casually.

I felt the urge to give her a deadly finger flick but held back.

Sigh*

[That's my question. What are you?]

It couldn't be a human being, unless she was under a curse but she seemed more like a fairy from fantasy than a human.

Probably a pixy?

[Human, your tone is too light when talking to this queen!]

Excuse me?

[Also, your eyes tell me you are thinking rude things]

Ignoring the first remark with all my might, I responded.

[If you're as small as a thumb anyone would think it was strange]

However the small girl snorted.

Hmph!

[You know nothing, ignorant human]

My eyes were constantly twitching. Seriously, who spoke this way as if they were seeking a beating?

Was it a prank? It had to be a prank right?

But, not knowing his turmoil the thing continued.

[Listen up, lower species. I, the most beautiful, magnificent and majestic spirit of all time am the Queen of all spirits!]

She didn't even glance at the mortal. At this time he must be kneeling on the floor bowing in reverence to her grace.

[Relish your fortune for being graced with my presence-]

Yet, the moment she turned ready to receive his awe filled gaze what she saw was the human walking away.

[Wa-Wait human! Where are thou going!?]

I scowled not bothering to look back.

[Anywhere but here...]

Honestly, I had never felt so annoyed in my life. Even Renji, with all his delusions seemed saner than this thing.

Thinking clearly, this can't be a fair or a pixy. It must be a demonic spirit!

Thinking so, Nagisa sped up his pace wanting to leave it behind as soon as possible.

[Ho-How rude! I wasn't even done talking!]

Duh, that's the point of leaving. Who knew if you were trying to place a curse on me?

[About your exaltedness and splendor, go tell your subjects. Aren't you an oh so mighty queen?]

Reaching the water, I planned to explore below if I could find some secret passage.

I felt that going back the way I came was pointless since I would only get lost so it was better to try a new route.

As for whether I would end up on a lower floor because of a shortcut? From the many routes in the maze like passage way there were routes going both up and down.

This place must be like an ant like colony so there was only the boss room no matter where you went.

And, remember that this was another dimension so breaking out through force was impossible to begin with.

The thing followed behind, flustered at her treatment.

[At-At least show a little interest!]

I shook my head.

[Forget it, I don't play with lunatics]

Was this guy thinking her words just now were a delusion? Her face flushed red when she thought she had been treated as if she were crazy.

[I-I am the spirit queen! It's not a fantasy nor a delusion!]

Well, if you say so. Engaging with this thing and facilitating her delusions seemed dangerous so it was better to cut her off quickly.

[Well, good luck to you your majesty. As you can see, I am but a humble ignorant human incapable of understanding your 'enormous' stature-pfft1]

Grinning at the slight pun her threw in there, Nagisa felt like he had gave this thing enough of his time and it was time to go after analyzing the water.

Gunununuh!

She was incensed. This human didn't take her seriously even when she spoke clearly. She felt indignant, but at the same time being treated so coldly made her frustrated and she pouted arms folded.

[How dare you speak to this queen that way, you are an especially rude human you know?]

Ah, wasn't she done yet?

[A mosquito keeps nagging. Where's my fly swatter when I need it?]

[What was that!?]

My feet, about to step into the water paused.

Sigh*

Getting rid of this fly through words seemed difficult, she definitely spoke clearly so why didn't her intelligence tell her to buzz off already?

Fine, if you're gonna keep buzzing around let's make some things clear first.

[Okay, I think we got off on the wrong foot]

Giving a neat bow, Nagisa displayed his nobility.

[My apologies your majesty spirit queen]

Oh?

The spirit queen was taken aback. However, she only felt that the human had finally seen her greatness in the end and leaned his place.

Puffing up her chest, she wore an arrogant expression and spoke smoothly.

[Fufu! Your manners may be as crass as your human origins but I see your eyes still work for recognizing this queen's greatness]

Nagisa just rolled his eyes.
