Chapter 87 - Chapter(81)

Episode(81) One trick pony with extra toppings! Upholding Honor!

SOVEREIGN OF DEATH~(81)

[...bastaaard!!]

Yagar raised the hammer axe high over head.

!?

Another shockwave attack?

Nagisa was alert. Yagar was probably trying to increase the distance by blasting him back with this attack.

Unfortunately for you I've already seen it twice!

The moment the hammer struck the ground shattering earth and spreading debris, Nagisa vanished into his shadow using shadow magic.

A boom echoed, loud as the hammer strike completely shattered the ground splitting rocks like an actual earthquake. And naturally, just as he thought the dust ands debris floated up in the air inverted by gravity.

But Nagisa wasn't part of the selection at all. It had long vanished!

The next moment, Nagisa leapt from Yagar's shadow with his katana slicing upwards.

The sword carved deep into flesh, but Yagar with its increased stats managed to dodge a sever wound by an inch.

kh!

Where did the human come from? Yagar had no idea, but in this battle he couldn't waver!

In an instant he twisted his body and swung the hammer, even under all the pain it felt it just wanted a homerun!

But, them moment the hammer was centimeters away from striking Nagisa flying, his body became a wisp of darkness and vanished once again!

[Come on, at this rate you're not even trying!]

A condescending voice echoed beside Yagar's feet on the ground.

When!?

Yagar raised his foot ready to stomp but Nagisa's curved dance was ten times faster easily severing the tendon with a twist of his body.

He then leapt high as Yagar's posture crumbled and slicing into his shoulder.

Yagar gritted his teeth and threw a punch but Nagisa vanished once more appearing not too far away with a smirk.

[This wont take too long]

****

Pointing Nightfall at Yagar, Nagisa also took a glance at his current remaining mana amount.

[37,500]

I didn't use that much. But, its kinda strange. I don't feel like I used as much as I did.

Nagisa recalled the fight and realized that he was ignoring something. Everytime he landed an attack he had this weird feeling as if he was losing more mana than he actually used.

It wasn't a lot, it was practically negligible.

Was it a skill? But with the amount he siphoned away I really can't see the use of that skill?

There had to be more to it, but now wasn't the time for deliberation.

I can only know more if I continue the fight either way.

Nagisa started off in a brisk walk before darting forward in a full sprint.

As he did, rock spikes protruded the ground and ceiling shooting straight at him. Still, all it took was a swing of the sword to cut them down.

They were like endless tracking projectiles swarming him from all over as Nagisa maneuvered the dungeon avoiding each one.

One by one they came, shot from above striking where he was as he spun away with a twist.

From the side as Nagisa vanished into his shadow and the earth spikes crashed into each other creating an explosion of dust behind him.

Yagar soon realized that the earth spikes weren't cutting it and gritted its teeth expending even more mana to create earth pillars.

Woah!

The moment he stepped, Nagisa rose into the air on a sudden rising pillar though he quickly caught his balance and stabilized.

He glanced around.

Isn't this doing too much?

He wasn't afraid of earth spikes, was he supposed to be afraid of pillars?

!!

Just as the mocking thought came, Nagisa felt something and vanished into his shadow. He appeared mid air, falling while glancing at the descending pillar that crashed into the rising pillar.

He grinned uncomfortably.

[You have some weird taste my guy!]

Yagar laughed along.

[Human challenger should die, it matters not the means!]

Well, then lets not hold anything back!

Using the falling debris, barely big enough to weigh as much as himself Nagisa moved with agile steps rushing straight at Yagar!

!!!!!!

This human was too strange! Even walking on air!

He slammed his palms to the ground and created a huge wall blocking Nagisa from advancing further.

At the same time, a rock whip line with sharp rocky thorns cracked at Nagisa from the wall.

Damn!

He cursed and released his attacking posture forcibly twisting his body in the air.

Luckily I gained control over oneness or that could have been bad!

But it didn't end there. More whips formed, endless in number cracking at Nagisa.

Heh!

[I keep telling you-]

He was scornful.

Avoiding each one, even using other whips as a springboard Nagisa launched himself the side of a pillar.

He raised his head using mana in his eyes to capture the fluctuation of mana with perception. Then with a powerful push of his bent knees, he once again shot straight towards the wall.

Every stone whip cracked towards him, a jumbled unavoidable mess. Still, holding the sword in hand Nagisa slashed.

The sword slash created a slash of light that cleaved apart everything into countless slices. Even the wall that kept Yagar hidden behind a turtle shell was torn open like paper.

Yagar was shocked, his face displaying the utter disbelief towards what he was witnessing.

But, he was still a champion among the troll tribe that had fought and been victorious against many of its brethren.

It hurriedly gripped the battle axe and swung meeting the sword slashed out by Nagisa.

Clang!

Sparks flew.

A force blasted through the space with both large and small figures at the center.

This was a completely uneven battle and you might think Nagisa's sword would have snapped even if he was just as strong as Yagar.

That was not the case at all!

Both my swords are legendary rank. What was this concept?

One must know that even in the outside side world, the only legendary weapons that existed were those forged by the gods and bestowed to their 'heroes'.

Just like Renji's holy sword, as he was a direct hero of light, he was given a holy sword.

In that moment, an aerial battle of sword and axe met a total of three times. The only reason it ceased was because Nagisa had no means to stay airborne.

Tch!

Seeing Nagisa have no means to resist, Yagar swung a slash with all its might.

Bastard! You've got no sportsmanship beast!

Yagar didn't care.

Seeing the incoming axed, Nagisa smiled.

[Think I'm a soft persimmon?]

Even while falling back to the ground, Nagisa grabbed his sword using all his strength and swung.

It was a pity, since he had no way to stabilize and truly muster all his strength he only sent Yagar sliding back while he himself was blasted out crashing through several pillars.

But, physical damage caused by crashing into pillars was negligible. Nagisa was able to easily stabilize after stabbing a sword into a pillar and coming to a stop before dashing forwards again.

The speed of his recovery from the attack to the counter didn't even take a few seconds. Yagar still had yet to get back his balance and Nagisa's charge came all too quickly.

From its shoulder bone straight own, a deep wound was carved into flesh forever to be engraved!

Yagar quickly reacted after being dumbfounded and struck towards the ground. But, once again Nagisa easily evaded and closed the distance stabbing hopeless into the open wound.

Frost began to seep into its body and cover its skin!

Yagar panicked.

Earlier this move was used and even with its overpowered kings health he still had to sever an arm. Now that its health was lowered thanks to being reborn this might kill him completely!

In that moment, its rock manipulation went wild and flew towards the retreating Nagisa. But none hit him with his smooth evasion.

Avoiding and slicing each attacking bolder, spike, pillar or whip, Nagisa freed himself of the attack in mere seconds.

[Damn you!!]

Yagar, slow to respond to Nagisa's charge was slashed across the belly, blood spurting incessantly.

[Aarrggh!!]

With another slash, the sword tore open another diagonal slash across Yagar's chest.

The compressed mana packed into each strike would have long split any creature in two, yet Yagar was still Barely hanging on.

And there was that strange feeling of having mana siphoned every attack as if it was this small negligible amount of mana provided some relief to its defense.

Still, Nagisa didn't let it bother him.

Lets take the neck!

He vanished with specks of dark light appearing behind Yagar and slashing at his neck.

But-

!!!

[What now?]

Yagar on the other hand, battered and bruised laughed as if his earlier thrashing was nothing but a dream.

[Kahahaha!]

Finally it could take revenge on the insignificant bug of a human!

[Now that my final effect has kicked in there will be no more chances for you to survive human! Curse your luck for your cruel death]

[Quit Yapping! One or two more skills won't help you live!]

Yagar ignored his words, a smile hanging on its face as it slammed the hammer into the ground. Earth debris floated up before transforming into spike and piercing through the air.

This again? One trick pony!

Nagisa avoided each shot and leapt from the ground as he closed the distance.

['Effect' this if you can...]

Pierce through!!!!

Nagisa stabbed the blade.

Mana swirling along the blade creating a highspeed rotation, not to mention the shadow magic compressed and shooting out.

This attack would punch a hole through even the toughest metals in the world.

[Kehehe! Fool! [Reflect]]

Boom!

??

Eh?

A force, so powerful that it instantly ripped his shirt to shreds passed through the entire dungeon shattering everything in the vicinity and sending him flying.

Nagisa momentarily froze in confusion as the pain from his wounds clicked in his mind.

What, was that?

The troll king wasn't going to miss such a chance.

The hammer struck, heavy and hard blasting Nagisa away without a shred of mercy.

A loud crash echoed as Nagisa struck the wall high above the entrance of the dungeon before falling like a puppet with its strings cut.

But Yagar wouldn't just let up after all the abuse.

With a dash, it arrived before Nagisa could fall and swung the hammer again sending Nagisa crashing into the dungeon wall ultimately becoming a decoration.

[Human lost! I Yagar upheld the honor of the tribe!]
