"Nine o'clock?" Qin Yin felt embarrassed. The party starts at six, and nine o'clock is just when the fun begins. Yet, he's asking her to come back?
"Yes, Mr. Nan said you must be back by nine," the driver said respectfully.
"No way, I definitely can't make it back by nine." Qin Yin shook her head, knowing full well there was no point in saying this to a driver. So, she had to take out her phone and call Nan Sichen.
Nan Sichen, having already changed his shoes, was leisurely walking downstairs. His magnetic and deep voice came through the phone, "If you don't want to come back by nine, then I must accompany you."
Qin Yin was taken aback, but on second thought, it seemed that school reunions didn't prohibit bringing family members. Maybe others were bringing theirs, too. She hesitated to avoid awkwardness with her classmates, and finally nodded, agreeing, "Alright then, hurry up and get ready; geez, I'm going to be late."
