The light flicker in the cave, illuminating every inches step by step. Discarded clothes sat in a pile at a side - dirty and abandoned.
The soldier looked to Damien.
Damien nodded back.
They stepped into the cave with the light flickering from the wind.
"Your highness, I think this is evidence enough that people were here."
Damien glared at him. "Were? How sure are you that there's no one here at the moment? We just need to find them."
The soldier clamped his mouth shut, positioning himself well behind Damien.
They hadn't gone far when the sound of people murmuring started echoing in the cave.
They waited in silence to hear where the voice was coming from, before stepping forward.
At a side in the cave were people holding each other tightly and glancing towards the direction of the light. They were quiet now and staring at the intruders that had come into the cave.
