Crimson Quick Attack again Chu you too at the last moment before striking (Brock) Croagunk: Brick Break, Let's Go! (Estrella) Double Slap! (Brock) Steelix: Iron Tail, Let's Go! (Estrella) Switch up, Iron Tail Let's Go! Pikachu and Steelix met with clash of Iron Tail. Pikachu was sent flying but was able to correct herself, mid-air. Cali are you ok? Piiika! *I'm fine!* (Estrella) Good, Cali: Spark!
Phoenix: Flamethrower! (Brock) WHAT!? the stream of flames that followed removed all doubts. Steelix took that live flame right in the side of the head. Croagunk got hit with a Quick Attack powered Spark. Gritting his teeth (Brock) Steelix: Screech! Croagunk: Poison Jab! (Estrella) Dig and Flame Charge Go! Pidgeotto ducked under steelix's mouth and hit him right under the chin. Wrapping his head and the top third of its body in fire. (Estrella) Iron Tail, Cali finish it! In a pin ball style move Pikachu dodged Croagunk, and landed the hit on its head. Then used the momentum towards Steelix's head. (Estrella) Quick Attack! Do it! Chuuuuu Pika! The spinning Pikachu sped up like a bullet and smacked right into the same spot under his chin. The still flaming Steelix hit the ground, right next to his fallen partner.
(Forrest) Both Steelix and Croagunk are unable to battle. Estrella Uman, Pikachu and Pidgeotto are the winners. Her pokemon cheered at their accomplishment. They beat a giant steel serpent and a fighting poison frog. (Brock) I am impressed once again, you and your family are certainly strong trainers. He handed her a Boulder Badge. You showed control, technique, and hidden skills that will take you far. You deserve this as recognition that you beat this Gym fair and square. DJ! Currently we were renting a space with a parking spot. Behind the Pokemon Center in Pewter City. I was using one of the battlefields to catch up with my team. Because of the P.T.Unit, I always had access to the rest of my team. But for the battle, I was going to use P, Kiddle, Wattkey, and Aguana. I was aware we would be in Pewter for a while yet. I wanted to make some money for our travels. Working out any kinks I found in my technique and my menu. This is the first step to getting to know Kanto. Both through battling and through people's stomachs.

Thanks again Mr. Abe! We really needed that meal, you cook like a gourmet chef! Abner was thanking me for joining the camp meal for the day. He spent time training with DJ and Estrella. They were able to fully grasp the mechanics of Iron Tail and Steel Wing after that. Abner insisted on being able to pay us back, for what he gained from the training session and the meal. (Abner) I think I know how I can pay you back! He said with great enthusiasm, (Abner) I have a spare and I only need one Jolteon. He was saying as he pulled out a Thunder Stone. (Abner) This is something I can part with as payment for your troubles. You have children and I know the responsibility is mostly on you.
I hope this helps! He said as he handed the Thunder Stone to me. One of my Eevee boys came out of his pokeball. I came down to his level, showing him the stone. Eevee sniffed it his eyes got really wide then he snatched it and ran off a few steps. Beginning to glow from the evolution taking place. *flash* Jolteon Jolt Jolt *Look at me, I'm a Jolteon!* He said jumping around for joy, the happiness was palpable. We'll see you again at the conference! (Abner) I'll be waiting for you he said looking at Estrella and DJ. I really hope I get strong enough to pose a challenge for you Mr. Abe.

(Oak) Perhaps, but you seem to be quite capable. You handle your responsibilities rather well. I hear your mobile kitchen is making noise in Pewter!

It was about midnight *Flash* Eeveeee! *I want to join Abe!* You can be part of the training session tonight, your brother is going to be part of the battle. My girl was kind of stacked when it came to the odds of her becoming an Umbreon. I could almost swear that any night now she would evolve.
This group of Eevee have the egg moves Detect and Double Kick. With me they have learned Dig and Iron Tail I taught Jolteon to start channeling electric power into his Pin Missle. Somehow this group of wild Eevee learned how to use Shadow Ball, which shouldn't be possible. I'm glad to have found them so they won't be separated. (Abe) P! You're teaching Scar Steel Wing. You will do it, he is team whether you like it or not. Pidgeotto Pidg *Yes, Sensei* Fear *Sensei* (Abe) into the skies, Go! P! No Flames, Got it!? PIDGEOTTO *YES SENSEI* I watched with narrowed eyes as P took off past Scar cawing for him to follow.
Eevee, Jolteon: Shadow Ball, Quick Attack Wattkey, Aguana, Kiddle: Quick Attack, Roll Out, Head Smash. They set out to avoid hitting one another while training their mobility. They had a few of the same attacks so it worked as dodging, and concentration practice simultaneously. Joy came up on the training grounds. She did rounds around the Pokemon Center every 3 hours. The show she got watching the chef work, was breath taking. Joy had never seen a dragon that could use Roll Out naturally. Watching the firebrand Pidgeotto teaching the Fearow how to use Steel Wing. As she watched the pokemon move, one of the Eevee began to glow. It was about 02:00am so it was definitely about to become an Umbreon.
I could feel Joy watching us, she had been around to the training grounds. Rounds I guess it was her 4th time around. Jolteon was teaching his sister how to speed up her Quick Attack. After a particularly hard impact she slid back a few feet panting. Veeee Eevee *I'm not done yet* Noir, are you ok? I asked her. She nodded and then she began to glow. She was my night owl after all, I wasn't sure when it would happen. When the glow cleared Uuummbreeooonn! *Look at me I match my name now!* Alright Noir! You evolved, that's awesome girl. I hope you stay with me always, I said scratching behind her ear. Uuummm *this is great* (Abe) Looks like all those late nights payed off, didn't they Noir?
Breon Umbreon *They sure did, I love this feeling* Umbreon Umm Umbre *Thank you Sensei, for taking a chance on my family.* I patted her head again, (Abe) you have nothing to thank me for Noir, I wasn't going to separate you. But, I held a finger up, you're going to help me recruit more of your kind. I would like to make a team of all your evolutions. What do you think about that? Um bre on Um Umberon *I love it, I've always wanted a big family* it was at that point that the clang of steel meeting steel rang out. I grinned at that sound, (Abe) I see, good job Scar! Return, I watched as both P and Scar came down landing quietly next to us. Pidgeotto Pidg Pidg *Noir, you evolved! That's great!*

He seemed to like being touched there. He clacked his big beak a few times and bowed to me. I pulled out his ball (Abe) Scar: Return. Kiddle come over here, the little goat kid trotted over to us. Wattkey and Aguana were racing using roll out around and through the crowd. At some point during the night my daughter got up and came looking for me. (Estrella) Dad, it's late, come get some sleep. Yeah, sure it is getting kinda late. Ok team, retrurn! As my team gathered around us, she noticed the Noir. (Estrella) Did you evolve Noir? You look great! So you're an Umbreon now, amazing! Umbre *Thank you* after returning everyone other than Noir we made our way back to the room. Getting settled into bed, Noir curled up next to my feet. I feel into a dreamless sleep, *bzzzz, bzzzzz, bzzzz* Ugh! I don't want to! Was my thought, I still got up and started my day. Borrowing the kitchen in the Pokemon Center, I made a full breakfast for us.
I brought my pokemon to Joy along with a plate. It was still early, I don't remember even smelling coffee. So I aincluded a cup for her as well. (Nurse Joy) Oh my this looks and smells delicious, and is that coffee? (Abe) you've taken such good care of us while we've been here Nurse Joy. This is a small thanks for your troubles. I passed her my team for the battle later. I'll make sure they're in top shape, taking her plate and passing me the tray. The 4 pokemon I chose to use were going bring taken care of, while I got to the com unit to call the kids down for breakfast.
I made a simple biscuits and gravy everyone enjoyed.
(N. Joy) Thank you, it isn't very often I get a treat like that. It was quite delicious, thank you Mr. Abe. (Abe) you're welcome Nurse Joy, there's no need to thank me. Remember we have a brick and mortar in Pallet Town. My boy runs it, I taught him how to make the foods on the menu. You'll see my grandson, and their friend Raltz. (N. Joy) Ooooh a Raltz, they're such pleasant pokemon. (Abe) that they are, we'll be in town for a few more days then we're hitting the road again. Maybe you should tune in to the tube later today. My boys and I are challenging Brock today. As the kids came down to eat, I waved at her and went to eat.

9:30am battle slot, (Forrest) Welcome to the Pewter City Gym this morning's battle. Representing the Pewter Gym: Brock, representing Pallet Town, DJ. This will be a double battle, the battle will go on until one side is unable to continue. (Brock) Sudowoodo, Vulpix, Let's Go! (DJ) sigh, Squirtle, Pidg, Battle Time! This wasn't the Vulpix from the anime. (DJ) What a beautiful Vulpix. (Brock) Thank you, I've raised this little guy, since he hatched on me 5 years ago. He's tough, I am glad he's a permanent fixture on my team. Shall we? He questioned DJ (Brock) Vulpix: Flame Burst, Sudowoodo: Stone Edge
(DJ) Tch, Pidg: dodge it and use Quick Attack. Squirtle: Rapid Spin! The stones all bounced off Squirtle's spinning shell. Vulpix was pushed back by the speedy Pidgeotto. (Brock) Vulpix: Dig, Sudowoodo: Hammer Arm, Let's go! As Vulpix was about to break ground, Squirtle was filling his mouth with water and aiming his mouth at the ground between his legs. All Brock heard was NOW! Squirtle unleashed a point-blank Water Gun using the water pressure to avoid any damage from the Dig. Vulpix was hammered into the ground by the Water Gun. A small trench was dug into the ground for 2 meters.
Vulpix was down but not quite out, (Brock) Sudowoodo: HAMMER ARM (DJ) Oh no you don't, Flame Charge Go! Tch! (Brock) What an interesting breed! You guys are awfully strong for this being your first Gym. (DJ) We've been together for a few years now, we skipped a league. We also kinda got started later than others. DJ shrugged, you good? (Brock) Yeah, Vulpix: Flamethrower (DJ) Pidg: Flamethrower (Brock) Sudowoodo: Roll Out. (DJ) Rapid-Gun Go! A combination of Rapid Spin and Water Gun. It was One of DJ's counter shield techniques. They clashed and knocked one another backwards after a few moments of struggle.
Pidg: Flame Charge, Squirtle: Aqua-Bash (Brock) Rock Tomb, and Flame Charge at the last moment DJ's Pokemon switched targets. The Flame Charge and Aqua Jet clashed and blew up. The Skull Bash however was not stopped. Vulpix was down and staying down this time. Pidgeotto was able to bypass the Stones and land a solid hit on the Rock Type. Brock returned his Vulpix (DJ) Steel Wing, again! A still flame wrapped Sudowoodo was struck with a Steel Wing ending the battle. Both of the Gym Leader's pokemon are unable to continue DJ Uman is the winner. (DJ) Squirtle put him out please. (Brock) Sudowoodo: Return, you did well he said to his pokeball. Pidg, Squirtle: Return (Brock) Your Squirtle is very strong representation of his species. You should be proud of that, you've raised him well so far.
That is one special Pidgeotto you have there. (DJ) Thanks! We saved them from a Spearow attack a few weeks back now. There's actually 3 of them (Brock) Amazing! That's a nice find then, unexpected ability and moveset will take you far. (DJ) Yeah their mother is the Pidgeot their father was a Talonflame. (Brock) That's a beautiful pairing, to have produced this powerful Pidgeotto you have on your team. (DJ) Oh, you'll meet the third one, I think. Just depends on what Uncle wants to use. (Brock) Well, like your cousin, you surprised me with a different battling style and well trained pokemon. Here, you deserve this, he said as handed DJ a Boulder Badge. He said holding out his hand for Brock to shake. DJ made his way back into the stands. (DJ) You're up Q *clap* a high five they shared as Quentin made his way down to the battlefield. I'll just have to go with the one I do have. He thought to himself, This will be a one on one exhibition battle. The battle will be over when either pokemon is unable to continue. Battle Begin! (Forrest) Onix: I choose you!
(Quentin) Ponyta: Let's Go! (Forrest) Onix: Rock Polish! (Quentin) Ta': Flame Charge, let's go! (Forrest) Stone Edge: Go! As Ponyta approached the Onix, (Quentin) Now! Double Kick, he declared punching the air in front of himself. The still flaming Pony spun mid stride and landed two flaming kicks on Onix lighting him on fire. ROOOAAARR! (Forrest) Onix put it out, Sand Storm! (Quentin) Ta' let's play some Pin Ball, Flamewheel Go! Ponyta took off in a flaming streak, randomly striking Onix from different angles. The sand was irrelevant when it couldn't make it past Ponyta's flames. (Forrest) Onix: Iron Tail! The large pokemon swung its tail and swatted Ponyta in to the air. He was able to adjust mid-air landing in a four hooved slide. (Quentin)Ta' Flame Charge again! Now: Use Horn Drill, yeah! Quentin cheered his partner on until, (Forrest) ONIX SCREECH! The high pitched sound stopped Ponyta dead in its tracks. Cutting the communication between trainer and pokemon. Ta' snap out of it! Quentin was saying to his starter. (Forrest) Onix, use Rock Tomb!
