Reese chuckled softly, then sighed with lingering fear, "You know, we're really lucky Doctor showed up this time. You, remember to be more cautious in the future. People have gone crazy these days!"
"Mm!" Olivia Parker nodded seriously, "You should be careful too."
"Me?" Reese shrugged indifferently, "If anyone tries to mug me, who knows who'll end up mugging who!"
The two chatted all the way back to the Villa Community.
Olivia was worried about Reese driving alone, insisting she stay overnight.
"Alright, I'll stay in the big villa."
Reese understood Olivia's concern and did not refuse.
Osbert Montgomery had already gone to bed, but Leah was still awake. Upon hearing the knock on the door, she hurried downstairs to let them in, concernedly asking if everything was alright when she saw Olivia and Reese coming in together.
"Miss Parker, is something wrong?"
Olivia gave her a smile, "It's nothing. Go ahead and sleep. We'll talk tomorrow; it's late."
