Very quickly, she finished cleaning Harvey Fisher's wound and picked up some cotton to disinfect it for him.
"It'll sting a little, bear with it."
Turning slightly to the side, using the car's headlights, Olivia Parker carefully dabbed the cotton along his wound.
The wound tingled faintly; Harvey Fisher frowned a little as he watched the girl in front of him.
The light fell across her face, edging her whole person in gold. There was not the slightest trace of panic on the girl's face; from her expression, it was impossible to see any sign that she had just gone through something terrifying.
"Just now… why didn't you call for help?" Harvey Fisher asked softly.
Olivia Parker tossed the cotton in her hand into a small plastic bag. "It's so deserted around here, no one would hear me even if I shouted."
When people run into bad guys, yelling for help seems to be most people's instinctive reaction, but it depends on the situation.
