Reese Harris let out a cold laugh, then pointed a finger at Jocelyn Kim's face.
"You're lying!"
"I'm not." Reese turned her face towards the judge, "Your Honor, I respectfully request the court to allow me to present new evidence."
"I object." Jane Bell immediately stood up, "The deadline for submitting new evidence has already passed."
"Your Honor, this new evidence was only obtained very recently, which is why it wasn't included in the prior evidence list. This piece of evidence is crucial to this case."
The judge conferred with the members of the panel, and then made a decision.
"The defendant is permitted to submit the evidence. However, according to 'Evidence Law,' the plaintiff is allowed to question this evidence and may respond to the new evidence as appropriate. Now, please submit the new evidence."
Reese expressed her gratitude and nodded to the Assistant.
Under normal circumstances, both parties would list their evidence before the opening of the court session.
