As the computer booted up, Vera Wave quickly pulled out a file from her email to print.
The door was cautiously pushed open a crack. Vera glanced towards it, tiptoed over, and flung the door wide open.
Little Yaya and Merlin Bradley burst in at the same time, nearly sprawling on the floor. Vera chuckled mischievously at their antics from the side.
"What's up, trying to spy on me?"
"No... we... were... " Little Yaya looked to Merlin Bradley for help.
Merlin Bradley pursed her lips, "We were just trying to knock!"
Vera rolled her eyes, "Since when did our company adopt Japanese customs, bending over to the keyhole to knock?!"
The two looked at each other, then steadily at her.
"Vera, you...aren't angry?"
"What is there to be angry about!" Vera walked towards the printer to collect the printed documents. "You both know the media writes rubbish. I'm not stupid enough to believe them, am I?"
"Exactly!"
"Our Vera could never be that foolish!"
