"Oh right, there's a box of nuts upstairs for you. Vera, have some every day, they're good for the baby's brain development."
Carrying a fruit plate, Kris Cooper held her hand as they went upstairs. As soon as they entered the bedroom, Vera noticed two boxes on the bedside table right away.
One box contained the strawberry mousse that Grandfather had bought for her, while the other was filled with various types of nuts.
He picked up a nut, popped it into his mouth, and chewed. Kris Cooper nodded approvingly.
"Hmm, the taste isn't bad."
As he spoke, he put an almond into her mouth.
"Here, have some for our son's brain development so he doesn't turn out to be a silly little boy like somebody." She rolled her eyes at him, and he laughed, wrapping his arms around her. "You rest a bit. I'll go handle an email and then come back to keep you company, okay?"
"I'll go with you."
"Okay."
So, he took the fruit plate and led her into the Study Room.
