Varreyn was a large city, so minor conflicts were a constant. But they almost always fell into one of two categories.
If the conflict was minor, everything was settled right there in an alley, on the street, or at the bar in some tavern. Nothing on a large scale ever happened that could disturb many other monsters.
If that wasn't enough, the monsters were free to head to one of the arenas to settle things in a contest of sheer strength or to go outside the city walls for the same purpose.
That is precisely why the Renegades didn't react to it at all. For any of them to intervene, something truly major would have to happen.
The Blood Fangs vs. the Grad Family, such an event certainly met their criteria.
Laroza opened her eyes and looked up at the wall. The upper level of Varreyn was in that direction.
