Chapter 1938 - Chapter 1475: Exhaust and How to Ignite

There are valves on the pipes.

He still hadn't figured out how the valves should be controlled.

Both pipes are connected to the combustion chamber.

The combustion chamber has two intake ports, one for hydrogen, controlled by the "throttle."

The other intake port is for pumping in high-pressure air; its valve opens and closes automatically—so long as the pressure in the external air pump is higher than that in the combustion chamber, the pump will inject air into the combustion chamber.

The pump delivers air twice per cycle, and in each cycle the two cylinders each perform one power stroke and one exhaust stroke.

If the pump works like this, it's much easier to install; its power comes from outside the cylinders.

The next problem is how to periodically spray in hydrogen and exhaust the gas.

Every time the piston moves to the left end or the right end, the intake port needs to take in air.

For how long should it take in air?

Ma Lin thought of a gear with missing teeth.
