Youjin Kinoshita's POV

I slowly opened my eyes, but my vision was still blurry as I woke up in my bed. The apartment was unusually bright that the sunlight streamed through the window and illuminated the room. I realized it was already morning… or so I thought.

Once my vision cleared, I checked the time on my watch. My eyes widened in surprise that it was already twelve noon. Then I turned my head saw the girl name Shirase beside me.

For a moment, I almost freaked out as I suddenly remembered what had happened earlier.

I had awakened in the middle of the night when Shirase invaded here in my apartment, and we had confessed our feelings to each other. Not to mention she signed the 'Relationship' contract I had made. After that, we slept together on the same bed at around four in the morning.

I had made Shirase Outaka my new girlfriend, my second girlfriend.

For sure, it wasn't a dream. It was real.

Shirase truly had feelings for me that she loved me, not as an author, but as a man. And I, myself, believed that her feelings for me were genuine. I didn't see any signs that she was lying to me, unlike the girls who had betrayed me in the past.

However, I was still a cautious person. That's why I had made her sign a contract in case she ever betrayed me. Even though I trusted her, I couldn't completely let my guard down.

For now, I was just happy that I had another chance at love with Shirase. I had even allowed her to stay in my apartment because of her habit of stalking me and monitoring me with her own drone. She had also admitted to watching videos of me from my miniature drones that my drone account was hacked.

As I looked at Shirase sleeping beside me, she turned toward me and slowly opened her eyes. A smile appeared on my face.

"Good morning, Youjin." She greeted me with a yawn.

I smiled back at her yawn with a hint of humor.

"You mean 'Good noon'? It's already twelve o'clock. But good morning to you too."

My girlfriend snickered.

"Then I guess we overslept together, Youjin."

"You're right." I nodded. "We confessed to each other and proposed in the middle of the night."

Shirase's smile gradually turned into a mischievous grin, like a Yandere, as she gently cupped my cheeks.

"Youjin…"

She closed her and kissed my lips that made me blush. I returned the kiss and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Shirase…"

Our kiss became intense when we kissed each other passionately. After a moment, we pulled away.

"Thank you for making me have a second chance at love, Shirase." I added.

She giggled softly.

"Of course, Youjin. I'll prove just how much I mean to you from the bottom of my heart."

I was about to respond when my stomach suddenly growled that my face turned red with embarrassment and I realized that it wasn't breakfast time anymore, but lunch.

"Uh…" I said awkwardly. "Lunch time, Shirase"

I got out of bed and turned toward my girlfriend, offering her my hand.

She glanced at my watch before taking my hand.

"Then let's make lunch together Youjin." Shirase winked at me, making my heart pound harder.

*

Later, we finished preparing our lunch together in the kitchen and placed everything on the table. We had cooked egg omelets over fried rice, along with two cups of brewed green tea that Shirase had given me yesterday.

"Itadakimasu!" Shirase and I said in unison before starting our lunch.

We smiled as we took our first bites.

"Mmm… delicious!" Shirase exclaimed happily. "This is the best omelet you've ever cooked, Youjin."

I chuckled.

"Thanks, Shirase. And this is the best fried rice you've ever cooked too."

That's right. I had cooked the omelet while Shirase had prepared the fried rice using the leftover steamed rice from yesterday.

"Fufu. Thanks, Youjin. But do you know what the secret ingredient is?"

Shirase gave me a playful smirk. Judging from her expression, she was acting like a Yandere girl again.

"It's love, isn't it?" I guessed.

I had heard from anime shows that Yandere girls would sometimes tell the person they loved that the secret ingredient in their cooking was 'love'.

"You got it, Youjin." She smiled brightly. "But seriously, I can cook for myself since I live alone."

The last sentence from her made me stop eating and stared at her in shock.

"Wait, what? You live alone?"

Then Shirase stopped eating as well and looked at me.

"What's wrong?"

"Um… You live alone? But are you safe by yourself? What about your parents?" I asked worriedly.

"Hmm… I guess you really do need to know more about me, huh?"

"Of course, Shirase. I mean, you're my girlfriend now. And you already know almost everything about me. So you owe me one."

She smiled at me.

"Right. Good point. Then I'll tell you everything about myself. But heads up, Youjin."

"Yes?" I replied while taking a sip of my tea.

"You're just like me, Youjin."

My girlfriend paused for a moment.

"I was falsely accused too."

Eh?

Her answer caught me completely off guard that I choked on the tea I had just sipped.

"Ugh! What?!"

"Ara ara. Sorry about that, Youjin." Shirase giggled. "But it's true. I was falsely accused just like you were. Let me tell you about what happened to me before I met you.

And so, Shirase began telling me about her past as we continued finishing our lunch togther.

*

Shirase Outaka's POV

I, Shirase Outaka, was born into a wealthy family. I was the only child of my parents.

My parents left me when I was in my second year of middle school because of their work overseas. However, they continued to support me financially and made sure I had everything I needed. Because of that, I gradually learned how to become independent, especially taking care of myself, cooking my own meal and more. Even if I was independent, my parents still sent me allowance that I couldn't refuse to reject it.

Before my parents left, the three of us lived together in the same household. Despite being wealthy, my parents and I preferred to live in a relatively modest house rather than a luxurious mansion.

My parents always took good care of me. They made me happy, and no matter how much trouble I caused, they always stayed by my side. By the way, I was already taller than both of my parents.

Speaking of trouble, I remember something that happened when I was in my third year of middle school. I was falsely accused of trying to seduce a boy who already had a girlfriend.

Not only I was the tallest student in the middle school, but I was also one of the most popular and attractive girls among the students. Naturally, I attracted a lot of attention from the boys.

Many boys asked me out, but I rejected all of them because I had no interest in dating anyone at a time.

However, one day, a boy asked me out even though he already had a girlfriend.

"I'm sorry, but no, I can't." I replied as I rejected him.

"Outaka-san, please." He pleaded. "I'm head over heels for you! I'll break up with my girlfriend for you."

I was about to respond when I noticed a female student approaching us. She was his girlfriend.

Without giving me a chance to explain, she slapped me across my cheek and glared at me coldly.

"Stay away from him!" she snapped, grabbing her boyfriend's arm and pulling him away. "Don't ever try to steal my boyfriend from me. Got it?!"

As the couple walked away, I touched my cheek she had slapped. The tears began to fill my eyes.

The following day, things became even worse when I entered the school.

Many students stared at me angrily as I walked through the hallway. I had no idea what was going on. Some students even avoided looking directly at me. Then I began hearing whispers around me.

"I can't believe Outaka-san kissed a guy."

"I know, right? He already has a girlfriend, but she tried to steal him from his girlfriend."

"Ugh! That b*tch! I hate her."

"She's a wh*re!"

"Boyfriend stealer!"

Thanks to the boy and his girlfriend yesterday, my reputation was ruined. I became isolated, and I was no longer the popular girl I had once been.

About the boys who asked me out before, they were all single, and I had simply rejected their confessions.

But this was the first time that someone, who already had a girlfriend, had asked me out. His girlfriend became jealous of me, and somehow, I ended up being blamed for something I had never done.

Later that night, I received a video call from my parents on my laptop. I felt nervous as I stared at the screen. I was afraid that they had heard about the rumors at school and would turn against me.

I took a deep breath and clicked the call button on the laptop screen. I trembled slightly as my parent appeared on the screen.

"G-Good evening, okaa-san, otou-san." I greeted them nervously.

They nodded at me.

"Good evening, Shirase." My mother greeted me in a serious tone.

"I heard about what happened at school." my father said, sounding diappointed.

I knew it! They knew. They had heard about everything.

"Okaa-san, Otou-san, it's not what you think!" I exclaimed in panic.

"What makes you say that?" My mother asked.

"Okaa-san, you know that many boys have asked me out before, I rejected them. But…"

I sighed as tears began to form in my eyes.

My parents already knew that I was one of the most popular girls in middle school, partly because I was the tallest student here.

"But… what?" My father asked.

"But the boy asked me out, even though he already had a girlfriend. I rejected him, of course. But his girlfriend caught us talking and slapped me, otou-san."

I explained more to my parents, hoping that they would believe me.

"And then… his girlfriend accused me of trying to steal him and even claimed that I kissed him. But I didn't do anything! I simply rejected him, otou-san, okaa-san. And because of them, everyone hates me. Please believe me! I'm sorry!"

My tears rolled down my cheeks while sobbing and covering my face in agony.

"Shirase…" My father said sadly.

I wiped my tears and looked at my parents through the video call. They exchanged glances with each other before nodding. Then they turned their attention back to me.

"It's okay, big girl." My mother said with a gentle smile.

"We believe you, Shirase." My father added, smiling as well.

My eyes widened. I felt a wave of relief wash over me.

"Okaa-san? Otou-san?"

"You did the right thing by rejecting him, Shirase."

"He's right. We know that you're not ready to have a boyfriend yet. But don't worry, we're here for you. You're only our child, after all."

Their words made me happy. I had been crying because I was afraid that they wouldn't believe me. But now, those tears turned into tears of relief.

"Otou-san, Okaa-san, thank you… thank you so much!" I said loudly, continuing to cry.

Then my parents began tearing up as well.

"Don't cry, big girl. You're making us cry to." My mother said, wiping her tears away.

I nodded and wiped my own tears.

"Thanks, otou-san, okaa-san. I thought you guys believed the lie from school. But I'm really glad you believed me."

"Just stay strong, Shirase. And ignore those students." My father said calmly.

"And if you really need help, call us anytime." My mother added.

I sighed and nodded at them.

"Thanks again, otou-san, okaa-san. You guys are the best… ever. I love you, guys!"

My parents smiled warmly at me.

"We love you too, Shirase!"

"And good night, Shirase!"

I waved goodbye to them through the laptop screen before finally ending the call. I sighed in relief and paced a hand against my chest. Having parents' support was enough for me.

I didn't care if I was no longer popular at school. What mattered was staying strong, just as my father had told me.

Then I yawned as sleepiness overcame me and lay down on my bed as I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

*

Youjin Kinoshita's POV

I was stunned in disbelief when Shirase told me that she had also been a victim of false accusation. But unlike me, she had been fortunate enough to have parents who believed her and supported her. And now that I thought about it, wasn't it quite a coincidence that she had been falsely accused during the same school year as I had?

"Wow." I said, taking another bite of my meal. "You really have good parents, Shirase. They care so much about you."

I sighed sadly as I remembered my so-called parents, my biological father and stepmother, that they hadn't believed me.

"Thank you, Youjin." Shirase smiled, but her expression became sad when she noticed mine. "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. But hey, at least someone like Hayasi-san believed you."

My girlfriend was right. The landlady was the only person who had believed me. Thinking about Hayashi-san made me feel a little better.

"Yeah, she was the person I trusted the most before I met you, Shirase."

My girlfriend grinned at me.

"Well, anyway…"

She continued telling me about her past as we finished our lunch together.

*

Shirase Outaka's POV

I endured the pain that caused by the insults and rumors at middle school, but I continued to isolate myself during my remaining school days. Fortunately, I didn't let those rumors break me. My parents' advice, especially my father's, helped me to stay strong.

Eventually, graduation day arrived.

I felt relieved when I saw my parents attending the ceremony, despite having to travel all the way back from overseas, where they were working.

However, none of the students, including my former friends, congratulated me. They still believed the false accusation against me. But I didn't care about them, anyway.

And my parents were there. They were the only people whose support truly mattered to me.

"Congratulations, Shirase!" My father said happily, hugging me.

"Congratulations, my big girl!" My mother added, with a smile.

"Thank you, otou-san, okaa-san!" I said, warmly returning their embrace.

Later that evening, my parents and I returned home and celebrated my middle school graduation with a small feast prepared especially for the three of us.

However, as we ate together, I began feeling anxious. There was something I hadn't told them yet.

"Shirase, what's wrong?" My father suddenly asked, causing me to flinch.

Before I could answer, my mother asked me question, making my heart raced even faster.

"Shirase, we forgot to ask you, but how did your high school entrance exam go? Did you pass? And have you decided which high school you want to attend?"

Then I trembled and slowly opened my mouth.

"Actually, otou-san, okaa-san…. please don't freak out, but…" I said nervously. "…I didn't take the entrance exam. I'm sorry!"

My parents froze. They stared at me in disbelief.

That's right. For some reason, I hadn't taken the high school entrance exam.

"Shirase?" My father said, widening his eyes. "But… why?"

"Don't you want to go to high school?" My mother asked, her voice carrying a slight hint of concern. "You need to go to high school, you know."

My vision became blurry as the tears welled up in my eyes.

"Otou-san, Okaa-san, please! You've got it all wrong. I mean…" I replied, trembling. "…I actually want to be homeschooled here instead of going to high school."

Yes. I had decided that homeschooling was the best choice for me because of the trauma I had ever experienced with the students at middle school.

"Homeschooled?" My mother repeated.

"Here at home?" My father in confusion.

Then I nodded at them.

"Yes, homeschooled. That's why I didn't take the exam for high school. So please hear me out."

My parents stopped eating and looked at me.

"All right, Shirase. Why do you want to be homeschooled?" My mother asked calmly.

My father remained silent, but nodded at her question.

I took a deep breath before explaining.

"I still can't forget how much everyone at school hurt me. Even those teachers there didn't care about me. And I'm afraid that if I enroll in high school, someone might recognize me and hurt me again. Or worse, they might spread rumors about me."

My parents frowned sadly after hearing my reason.

"Oh, Shirase. I'm so sorry." He said with a sigh.

"We never thought you would make a decision like this." She added. "But are you sure you don't want to go to high school? You could always try going to school next year."

I sighed and shook my head.

"Homeschooling is my final decision, otou-san, okaa-san. That's what I want. So please, let me stay here and study at home."

My parents exchanged glances before nodding at each other.

"All right. We support your decision, Shirase." My mother said, smiling at me.

"You can study at home, Shirase." My father nodded at me.

The tears of happiness formed in my eyes.

"Thank you, otou-san, okaa-san!"

I was so happy that my parents had accepted my decision to stay home and study instead of attending high school. At least they understood how I felt. They had believed me when I was falsely accused in middle school. And now, they were supporting me again.

I continued enjoying the graduation feast with my parents I trusted the most.

For homeschooling, I chose to attend online classes using my laptop with the internet instead of having a private teacher. My parents didn't mind as long as I continued studying properly.

Almost two years passed, I was now in my second year of high school homeschooling, studying from home on weekdays. My parents where still overseas because of their work.

One day, it was Saturday, I became bored with staying at home, so I decided to go out by myself. I had already received permission from my parents to spend the day outside alone.

Then I took a train to another town.

Later, while walking through an alley, I suddenly found myself surrounded by three boys that I immediately felt uncomfortable.

"Hey, miss. Would you like to come with us? Let's hang out." One of the boys said.

I stepped backward.

"N-No. Please, no!" I said, trembling in fear.

But they continued approaching me.

"Come on. We're good guys, you know." He said.

"Yeah, we'll have some fun." Another boy added.

"It's our treat, so no need to pay, girl." The third boy laughed.

Then I shook my head and continued refusing their offer.

"Please, I'm serious! I can't hang out with you, guys." I pleaded.

One of the boys was about to say something when I suddenly hear a loud voice behind them.

"Hey! What do you think are you doing to that lady?"

I turned and saw a boy wearing a hooded jacket and a face mask. His face was partially hidden, making it difficult for me to recognize him.

He confronted the three boys.

Before I knew it, a fight broke out after that boy exchanged his words with those three guys. I covered my mouth in disbelief as the masked boy managed to overpower them.

"Get lost, you fools!" The boy shouted, glaring at them intimidatingly with his angry eyes.

The two remaining conscious boys hurriedly helped their unconscious companion, their leader, and retreated from the alley, leaving that boy behind.

My savior turned toward me and walked over while I was still sitting on the concrete ground and was trembling slightly.

"Um… are you okay?" He asked, offering me his hand.

I looked at his hand and nodded.

"Y-Yes." I said nervously as I took it.

He gently helped back to my feet.

As I stood in front of him, I noticed that he was shorter than me. I couldn't believe how strong he was, despite smaller stature. He had just managed to drive away those three boys by himself alone. And yet, there was something else I noticed.

The moment he helped me up, my heart began pounding. I didn't know his name. I didn't know what he looked like beneath his mask.

But after he had rescued me, I couldn't help but feel drawn to him. It felt like love at first sight.

"Thank you for saving me. I really appreciate it." I said with gratefully.

The mysterious boy didn't answer immediately. Instead, he simply stared at me, as if he recognized me from somewhere.

"Um… is something wrong?" I asked.

He suddenly snapped back to reality and shook his head.

"N-No. I'm glad you're okay, miss. But you should be careful wandering around."

"Yes, I wi—"

Groooowl…

That growl sound came from my stomach as I realized I hadn't eaten anything for a while. Embarrassed, I looked away from him as my face turned red.

"So… you hungry?" He asked.

I turned back toward him. He took out an onigiri and a mochi and offer them to me.

Then I nodded quietly.

"Here." He said, handing those said foods to me. "For you. I can't leave you getting hungrier, miss."

I accepted them and bowed my head.

"Th-thank you so much!"

I began eating the onigiri and mochi.

This boy hadn't only rescued me from those guys, he had also noticed that I was hungry and offered me his own food.

My feelings for him grew stronger. Even though I didn't know who he was, I couldn't stop thinking about him.

As I finished eating, that boy suddenly turned away as he was about to leave.

"Wait!" I exclaimed.

He stopped and turned his head toward me.

"Yes?"

I needed to know about him.

"Can you please tell me your name?"

Knowing his name was important to me.

"I'm sorry, but I can't, miss." He replied sadly.

I blinked my eyes in confusion.

"Then can you at least show me your face?"

I wanted to know what my hero looked like. I wanted to remember the person who had saved me.

"Sorry, but I still can't."

His answer left me more disappointed and confused.

"Eh? Why not?"

I couldn't understand why he refused to tell me his name or show me his face. After all, he had already saved me.

"Even I saved and helped you, you're a stranger to me. I'm really sorry, but if you'll excuse me. Goodbye!"

He turned away and began walking to leave, but I quickly reached out and grabbed his hand.

"Please, wait!"

He turned his head and sighed.

"What now?" He asked, sounding slightly annoyed.

I suddenly thought of an idea.

"Would you like to escort me to the train station? I have to go home now."

Escorting me was partly true, but I also wanted him to stay with me a little longer. And after what had just happened, I felt safer having him around.

"All right, no problem." He replied.

I was relieved that he agreed. I briefly hugged him in gratitude, catching him off guard as I buried his head between my breasts. Feeling the warmth from his face caused my heart to pound harder, more like I filled him more love.

He immediately became flustered and I could see his face blushing deeply beneath his mask.

"Let's go." I said with a smile.

Then we headed toward the train station together.

"So, uh…" He suddenly said without looking at me as we walked. "…You're not living here in this town, aren't you?"

I glance at him.

"No, I'm not."

"Then why are you here, miss?"

The way he called me 'miss' made me laugh. Of course, he didn't know my name.

"'Miss?'" I repeated. "You don't have to call me that. Just call me—"

"No, stop!" He suddenly interrupted. "I'm sorry, but I don't need to know your name."

Wait, what?!

"Eh? Why?"

Why didn't my savior want to know my name? He should know my name just as much as I wanted to know his.

"It's complicated." He replied.

I still couldn't understand him. Perhaps he simply didn't trust me. Even so, he had saved me from those boys and given me food when I was hungry. There was something mysterious about him.

Moments later, we finally arrived in front of the train station.

"Thank you so much once again." I said, smiling happily. "I hope I'll see you again."

Then I turned around and started walking toward the station.

"Yeah, just be careful. By the way, beware of perverts." He suddenly called out from behind me.

His warning made me turn around to face him once more and giggle. Then I waved goodbye before entering the station and boarding the train.

Later, I returned home safely and headed straight to my room. Once I was inside, I couldn't help thinking about that mysterious boy, who was my hero… my savior… had rescued me when I was in danger.

I laughed happily to myself and began dancing around my room.

"Fufu!" I giggled. "Ah, my love! You're my love at first sight, boy! I will find you and meet you again!"

Then I turned off the lights and climbed into bed. I lay down, closed my eyes and slowly drifted to sleep. Even as I fell asleep, I continued thinking about that boy who had saved me that day.

*

Youjin Kinoshita's POV

I blushed as Shirase recalled the time I had saved her from the boys in the alley. That also had been the same day I had taken revenge on the girls, who had betrayed me, at school during the Closing Ceremony before Summer Break.

"Hah." I sighed we finished our lunch. "Well, I'm glad that I was able to save you, Shirase. Honestly, the timing couldn't have been better. If I had gotten my revenge on those b*tches immediately after they accused me, I wouldn't have known that you were in trouble. And I might never have been there to save you.

My girlfriend giggled.

"Fufu! You're right, Youjin. Who knows what I might have happened to me? My parents would have been worried sick. It was pretty reckless of me to wander around alone, especially I'm so tall that I naturally attract attention. That's probably why those boys approached me in the first place.

I gathered the dirty dishes and carried them to the kitchen sink. Shirase followed me, and we began washing the dishes together.

"Anyway, you're curious about how I knew who you were before we met you again, aren't you?" She asked with a smirk.

Her question almost made me drop my plate and glanced at her, slightly blushing.

"Well, you already told me that you bought a drone to investigate me." I said. "So I want to know more details, Shirase."

Then she smiled at me while drying the plates that I had finished washing.

"Of course, Youjin. You deserve to know more."

Shirase continued telling me the rest of the story while I washed the dishes and she helped me dry them.

*

Shirase Outaka's POV

Two days had passed since the mysterious boy saved me from the bad guys.

I secretly purchased a drone with advanced features, including a long flight range that allowed it to travel several kilometers away from its controller. I used the drone to search for that boy in the town where I believed he lived.

Then I carefully guided the drone in the direction using its controller and small screen. The place was several kilometers away from where I was, so I hoped the drone would remain functional throughout the trip.

The drone eventually reached the same town where I had encountered him as I carefully scanned the building from above, making sure no one noticed the drone.

However, I couldn't find my savior anywhere. Perhaps he was inside his home. Or maybe he was somewhere else outside.

Several minutes later, I noticed something familiar on the screen.

I spotted the boy wearing a jacket similar to the one he had worn when he saved me two days earlier. It had to be him!

Then I zoomed in with the drone's camera, so I could observe him more closely.

But I noticed something strange. There was another, much small drone following him. It reminded me for a new type of miniature drone I had heard about. Those drones could be used for vlogging or keeping a video diary, allowing their owners to record and monitor themselves throughout the day.

I guessed that the miniature drone belonged to him. Although I didn't notice that drone two days ago when he saved me from the bad guys.

Then something unexpected happened. A girl suddenly bumped into him, causing the boy's sunglasses and face mask to fall off. My eyes widened as this was my chance to see his face. For sure, he was the boy who had saved me two days ago.

The girl who had bumped into him looked shocked as she stared at him as if she knew him.

Then my drone's microphone picked up her faint voice.

"Y-Y-Youjin?"

I smiled as I finally knew what my hero's name was. His name was Youjin. But I hadn't known his last name yet, so I continued observing him.

Just then, another girl approached him and the first girl.

"Youjin-kouhai?"

The second girl appeared to be his senpai.

Then more two girls approached. They looked like twins, with nearly identical faces and the same hair color, which was pink, although their hair lengths were different.

"Onii-chan?"

"Nii-nii?"

My eyes widened as the twins had called Youjin 'brother'. I didn't know he had twin sisters.

But something else caught my attention. Youjin suddenly stepped backward from the four girls. He looked frightened.

I couldn't clearly hear what the girls were saying because their voices were barely picked up by the drone's microphone. However, from their expressions and gestures, it seemed as they were worried about him.

Then Youjin tilted his head away from the girls.

My eyes widened and I blushed deeply as I could finally see his face clearly, even though he was still wearing the hood of his jacket.

"Youjin." I whispered with a grin. "I found you, Youjin-sama. My savior!"

I had finally seen his face and learned his name.

Then I continued monitoring him through the drone. Youjin quickly picked up his sunglasses and face mask before putting them back. Moments later, he suddenly ran away from the four girls.

I was surprised. But the four girls immediately chased after him.

"Is he afraid of girls?" I wondered as I stared at the screen of my drone controller. "Then why did he save me in the first place?"

The question kept bothering me. Perhaps he had somehow sensed that I wasn't like the other girls. Or maybe there was another reason. I didn't know.

Either way, I continued following Youjin with my drone as he ran through the town. I was amazed that his miniature drone continued following him even while he was running away from those girls. The drone was surprisingly fast.

The four girls lost the sight of him, but I continued tracking him. Youjin reached a forest as he successfully evaded them.

Then I noticed his miniature drone suddenly moved away from him. He must have used his phone to control it. Perhaps he was checking his surroundings to make sure the girls weren't still following him.

I decided not to take any chances as I carefully moved my own drone farther away from his, so that he wouldn't notice it. After making sure I wasn't too close, I continued following him from a distance.

Then I finally discovered where he lived. An apartment. The apartment looked rather old compared to the places I had seen in the area. But why did he live there?

I had assumed that he lived with his family in a house. Instead, he appeared to be living alone in an apartment under the care of a landlady.

The more I learned about Youjin, the more curious I became. The boy who had saved me two days ago was becoming more mysterious with every discovery.

But for today, I decided that my investigation was enough.

I flew my drone away from the area. As I did, I noticed a high school building some distance away from his apartment. Could that be the high school attended?

While my drone was returning to me, I searched for the name of the high school. I found its official website on my laptop. To my surprise, the website contained a list of students enrolled at that school.

"All right." I said with a grin. "Let's see what your full name is, Youjin-sama."

I typed his first name 'Youjin' into the search field using hiragana alphabet, but the system automatically converted it into kanji. Then I finally found his full name. It was Youjin Kinoshita.

There were no other students with the first name 'Youjin', so there was no doubt that it was him.

I even found his student ID photograph. The moment I saw it, my heart began beating faster. His face between from my drone I had used to capture him and the ID photograph were exactly the same. Seeing his face again made my feelings for him grow even stronger.

My investigation that day had been a complete success. I had discovered his face, his name and the apartment where he lived.

Thanks to those four girls who had chased after him, but had failed to catch him, I had finally learned the identity of the mysterious boy who had saved me two days ago.

Youjin Kinoshita.

I would never forget that name.

Youjin Kinoshita's POV

After washing and drying the dishes with Shirase, we sat together in the couch.

I was still amazed by everything she had told me, especially the fact that she had investigated me during my summer break, before the incident when my family, former friends and the high school principal confronted me in my apartment.

"Wow." I whispered. "I never thought you were… well, let me say… You were pretty crazy, Shirase."

My comment made my girlfriend giggle as she partially covered her mouth with one hand.

"Fufu! Thank you, Youjin. But anyway…"

Then she continued telling me more about what she had done back then.

Shirase Outaka's POV

Later that evening, after having dinner alone at home and talking with my parents through a video call on my laptop, I began investigation the miniature drone I had seen following Youjin.

I searched online and discovered that the particular drone model was manufactured by only one company. More importantly, it had a feature that allowed its recorded videos to be uploaded and streamed online, either publicly or privately.

Then I found a website that hosted countless videos recorded through that same type of drone. Only a small number of users made their videos public. Most of the other accounts were private, presumably because their owners wanted to protect their privacy.

I entered Youjin's full name into the search bar for the user's name. I finally found an account which was his. Unfortunately, his videos were private that I obviously couldn't watch with disappointment.

"No…" I muttered.

I desperately wanted to know more about him… so badly. But I suddenly had an idea.

I needed to watch his videos. But I suddenly had an idea.

Opening my social media account, I contacted an anonymous hacker who was known for illegally breaking into online accounts.

I sent him a message.

"Hello. I would like to let you hack this person's account on this website."

I attached a screenshot of Youjin's drone account, along with its link and then waited for his response.

A few minutes later, the hacker finally replied.

"Oh! I know that website. But you'll have to pay me first."

I wasn't surprised that he asked for payment, so I immediately replied.

"How much?"

"Fifteen thousand yen."

The amount was affordable for me, so I transferred the money through his payment page along with another message.

"The payment is done."

He replied immediately.

"All right. I'll hack that account for you. Thanks for paying."

Now all I had to do was wait.

About thirty minutes later, I received another message from the hacker.

He showed me Youjin's drone account with his email address and password that made me excited.

"I hope this works." I muttered.

Then I entered the Youjin's email address and password the hacker had given me into the website. I clicked the 'Log In' button.

Moments later, Youjin's drone account finally opened that make my eyes widened.

"Yes! It works!" I shouted excitedly, raising my arms. "Thank you, hacker."

I didn't have time sending the hacker another message since I had already paid him and now I had something far more important to do. I could finally watch Youjin's drone videos.

Although I was homeschooled, I still had school breaks just like students attending regular schools. And this time, it was summer break. At least I had plenty of free time.

In Youjin's drone account, I discovered that he owned multiple miniature drones, just like the one I had seen following him.

Then I looked at his videos. There were so many of them. Each video lasted between twelve and twenty-four hours. I stared in disbelief. He recorded his daily life. Every single day. There didn't seem to be a single day he had missed.

I decided to start with his oldest video, which had been uploaded approximately two years earlier. His first video showed an ordinary school day.

However, something unexpected happened. His childhood friend name Yurika Nonaka confessed her feelings for him. Youjin accepted her feelings because he had feelings for her as well. They began dating.

Later, he told his family about their relationship. I honestly hadn't known that Youjin had a girlfriend before. But something about the video confused me, I wondered why he ran away from her along with the other three girls, his senpai and sisters.

For more curiosity, I watched his videos more since I needed to know more.

A few days passed. I learned more and more about Youjin's life through his video diaries with his drones.

Much of his life was heartbreaking. I became angry as I watched what had happened to him. I saw the video in which Youjin discovered Nonaka-san cheating on him with his own best friend name Haruka Kutake.

I couldn't believe it. But things became even worse.

Nonaka-san falsely accused Youjin of cheating on her. Everyone believed her. Even his friends and family accepted her story without hearing Youjin out. He left devastated.

I watched another video. His senpai name Naomi Susami confessed her feelings for him. But Youjin rejected her because of the trauma caused by his previous relationship with Nonaka-san.

Afterward, Susamo-san made a false accusation against him. She claimed that Youjin had assaulted her. The accusation resulted in his suspension from school. He became hated by everyone around him, including his own family.

And the worst part was seeing how badly many students treated Youjin afterward, especially brutally beating him up. Even his own stepsisters turned against him. Those videos made me sick with anger.

Not to mention those false accusations from Nonaka-san and Susami-san against him reminded me of my horrible past about being falsely accused when I was in the third-year middle school. The same year happened when Youjin had been falsely accused for the first time by his childhood friend.

Another video I had watched. Youjin's own twin stepsisters accused him of molestation in the bathroom that caused his own father to turn against him and disown him. But according to his video, he had done nothing wrong.

I began to realize what had happened. His stepsisters had believed the accusation made by Nonaka-san and Susami-san. His own family had turned against him because they trusted those girls more than they trusted him who was their family member as a son and brother.

I couldn't believe how badly Youjin had been treated by the people closest to him. Now everything made sense. I finally understood why he had run away from those four girls when I saw him through my drone.

But one thing still confused me. Why were those girls chasing after Youjin? I eventually found the answer. He had exposed the truth during the school's Closing Ceremony before summer break. He had appeared through his video against everyone at school since he was absent for about two months after he was kicked out by his family.

He showed his drone recording to everyone and proved that Nonaka-san, Susami-san and his stepsisters had lied about him. The truth finally came out. Everyone at school regretted what they had done, especially those who had believed the accusations and mistreated him.

Youjin had used one of his drones to record evidence that exposed the girls' lies.

I thought he would have revealed the truth immediately after being accused. Instead, he waited until the Closing Ceremony and confronted everything at one. I mean, at once! Those girls never had told the truth to everyone out of fear, but Youjin had.

I couldn't help but feel proud of him.

Then I discovered something that shocked me. The day Youjin exposed the truth was the same day he saved me. The same day he protected me from those three boys. The same he gave me food when I was hungry. The same day he escorted me to the train station.

And all this time, one of his drones had secretly recorded our encounter. He had changed my life that day. Because he had saved me, I became obsessed with learning more about him. That's why I watched several of his video diaries all day. Although, I couldn't watch all of them because each recording lasted between twelve and twenty-four hours, but I watched as much as I could.

At least Youjin's life seemed to be getting better now that he had separated himself from his family and former friends. There was also Hayashi-san, the landlady who owned the apartment complex where he lived. She believed Youjin's side of the story without showing her any of his recordings from his drones.

I learned even more about what happened afterward. Youjin never forgave his family and former friends for betraying him. They had confronted him at his apartment while Hayashi-san was present as witness. Nonaka-san and Susami-san had tried to justify their actions, but Youjin refused to believe their excuses. He had also decided never to return to his former home where his family lived.

Then another incident happened. Youjin was falsely accused once again, this time by the Student Council Vice President name Kurin Onimatsu. She accused him of molestation on a train while he was trying to save her from the real molester. But in the end, that molester was arrested, although Youjin was still mad at Onimatsu-san for not believing him.

And there was another incident involving two girls who were friends with Nonaka-san. They flirted with Youjin while he was eating at a café. One of them whispered into his ear and the other kissed him on the cheek. That made me furious. But I also felt sorry for him as he became so uncomfortable with what had happened that he decided to stop going to his favorite café altogether.

Despite everything he had gone through, I was proud of him. He had managed to deal with his problems and continue moving forward. The more I learned about him, the stronger my feelings became. I loved him more. And my investigation had become more fascinating than I ever expected.

Months passed. I had learned almost everything I could about Youjin.

Even though it was Parent's Day, my parents couldn't return from overseas since my homeschool didn't hold a Parent's Day event. I didn't mind as long as I could still spend time with my parents through our video calls that made me happy. There was just one thing I wasn't ready to tell them that I had fallen in love with someone, it was Youjin.

After my online classes ended that day, I left my house and returned to town where Youjin lived, the same town where he had saved me.

While riding the train, I quietly watched his latest video through my phone. In his video, Youjin was talking about his thought regarding his family and former friends during homeroom class for the Parents's Day event.

His words upset me so much that I nearly cried. I couldn't believe how much pain the people had trusted had caused him. Even his own father had attended the school's Parent's Day event, despite everything that had happened between them.

Later, after leaving the train station, I continued watching his live video on my phone while walking through town.

According to Youjin's live stream, Youjin was currently in the principal's office with his family and the girls he had encountered before. He argued with the principal name Shinohara-sensei, because he didn't want to see his family again. Then things became overwhelming for him.

After an emotional outburst in which Youjin said that he no longer wanted anything to do with the people around him, especially making more friends the principal had advised him, he suddenly collapsed from stress and exhaustion.

I had also learned that after he was suspended months ago by Shinohara-sensei when he was falsely accused by Susami-san, he hadn't eaten at school because of the additional punishment that had been unfairly imposed on him.

I stopped walking and sat on the bench while continuing to watch his Youjin's live video. Fortunately, Youjin eventually recovered at the clinic and was able to leave the school alone.

Then I noticed something. In the video, Youjin was walking toward what appeared to be a convenience store.

I looked up. There was a convenience nearby that looked exactly like the one on his live video.

I watched his live stream again. Then I saw him. He entered the convenience store. My eyes widened. It was definitely Youjin… Youjin Kinoshita.

The boy I had been watching through my drone and his video diaries from his drones. The boy who had saved me. The boy who had been falsely accused multiple times. The boy who had been betrayed by his family and friends. The boy who used his drones to record his daily life. And the boy who had changed my life when he saved me months ago. Youjin Kinoshita.

Moments later, Youjin left the convenience store with a cup of chocolate ice cream in his hand. He sat down in front of the store and began eating.

I quietly hid behind a large tree a short distance away. From there, I peeked at him with a bright smile.

"Hehehe! I finally found you, Youjin-sama, my darling! I finally see you in person. But I'm not ready to meet you just yet." I muttered quietly. "Ever since the day after the day you saved me, I've been watching you secretly, but not directly with my own eyes, but something like you just have. The pain your friends and family gave you, the betrayal and false smiles. I know it all!"

Suddenly, Youjin flinched. He looked around as he thought he had sensed that someone was watching. But he didn't notice me hiding behind the tree.

"Ara ara, did my aura frighten you back there? Sorry about that, Youjin-sama. I can't help it. My love for you… it's just that strong. Hehe!" I giggled while covering my mouth with one hand. "I read your web novel too, but you still don't realize I'm the one who's always chatting with you, do you?"

Speaking of web novel, I had discovered Youjin's web novel through his video diary.

He had written a story inspired by his life. It wasn't exactly the same as his real experiences, but there were many similarities. He had published the novel online. I loved reading it. I even supported him by sending him money.

We had chatted with each other many times because I enjoyed his novel as much as I admired him. My username was Shizuka_Suki while his was Koushasu. He still had no idea who I really was.

"I'll protect you from everyone, especially those girls and your pathetic family who betrayed you. I promise. I'll be by your side. We'll be together… forever… and ever! I will be yours and you will be mine, Youjin-sama, my love!"

With those words in my heart, I finally left and returned home.

About two hours later, after dinner, I had another video call with my parents. There was something important to tell them.

"Good evening, otou-san, okaa-san." I greeted them, waving at the screen.

"Good evening, Shirase." They replied together.

"How was your online class today?" My mother asked.

"Same as usual, okaa-san. It was great." I replied with a nod.

Then my expression became serious.

"Okaa-san, Otou-san, there is something I need to tell you."

My parents exchanged confused glances.

"What is it, Shirase?" My father said with a concern.

I took a deep breath as I was ready.

"Otou-san, Okaa-san, I'm going to high school."

Of course, they both looked surprised.

"High school?" She repeated. "You change your mind now?"

"But why?" He asked, still confused. "You've been homeschooled for more than a year. Does it mean you've recovered from the trauma you had, Shirase?"

Then I smiled confidently.

"I'm ready to attend high school. Not only because I feel better, but because of him, otou-san, okaa-san."

Mentioning 'him' only confused my parents more.

"Him?"

"Who are you talking to?"

I sighed dreamily while placing my hand against my chest.

"A high school student who saved me, otou-san, okaa-san."

That's right. I had decided to attend high school because of Youjin Kinoshita. I wanted to enroll in the same school he attended. I wanted to be close to him.

Even though he had said earlier to the high school principal with the people he had despised that he didn't want to be with someone, I still wanted to be by his side.

"Shirase, please tell us what's going on with you," My mother said, still concerned.

"Yeah, and why did that student save you?" My father asked.

I took a deep breath and smiled.

"All right, I'll tell you guys everything."

I began explaining everything about Youjin.

However, I left out certain details. I didn't tell them that I had secretly bought a drone to investigate him. My parents didn't know about that.

I also told them a few half-truths.

I explained that Youjin had saved me after three boys harassed me while I was outside. That part was true.

But I told my parents that Youjin and I exchanged our names. That part wasn't true. I also told them that he had told me which high school he attended. That wasn't true either.

Finally, I admitted that I had fallen in love with him and wanted to become more that friends with him because he had saved me. That part was completely true. That was why I wanted to attend his high school.

My parents seemed relieved and happy after hearing my explanation.

"Aww, you should be careful whenever you're outside, Shirase." She said.

"Your mother is right, Shirase. Especially when you're alone at home." He added.

Their concern made me chuckle nervously.

"Okaa-san, otou-san, I'm fine, really. There aren't any problems here, honestly. I'm perfectly safe." I said calmly. "But still, I want to attend that high school with him. Since he saved me, I want to show him my gratitude."

My parents nodded.

"All right, girl. Since you have feelings for Kinoshita-san, what will you do if he rejects you?"

That question from my mother made me frown.

"I wouldn't give up, okaa-san. I would show him how serious I am about being with him."

Another question from my father.

"But what about your homeschooling? Have you told your online teacher?"

"I decide to end my homeschooling tomorrow, otou-san." I replied with a serious tone. "I'll tell my teacher tomorrow. And I'll start attending that high school next week."

Tomorrow was Friday. I planned to finish my homeschooling then and begin attending Youjin's school the following week.

"I see. Your father and I support your decision, Shirase." My mother said with a smile.

"I'm glad you're ready to return to a regular school, Shirase. We're proud of you." My father added.

Their words made me have tears in my eyes that I didn't bother wiping them away.

"Thank you, guys. You really are the best parents ever!" I said happily.

"No worries, my big girl." She chuckled. "You are our beautiful daughter. We'll always be watching over you."

"That's right. We'll even give you more allowance, Shirase." He said. "But if that boy you love ever hurt you, let us know."

His last sentence made me giggle.

"Otou-san, Youjin would never hurt me, you know."

Then I yawned as I was starting to feel sleepy now.

"Anyway, I'm going to sleep now. Thank you so much for supporting me. I love you, guys. Good night!"

My parents waved at me with smiles on their faces.

"Good night, Shirase. We love you too!" They said in unison.

Then the video call ended.

I was incredibly excited about transferring to a regular school. Thanks to my parents' support, I could finally take the next step. I couldn't wait to see Youjin again. My first love. The boy who had saved me.

Over the next few days, I officially completed my homeschooling. The principal of Youjin's high school, Shinohara-sensei, accepted my transfer after reviewing the necessary documents and requirements.

Because I already had completed more than a year of high school-level homeschooling. I was placed in the second year.

And now, I was about to become a transfer student in Youjin's classroom.

Youjin Kinoshita's POV

I was honestly impressed by everything my girlfriend had told me about her past.

Her story had been far more detailed than I expected, and I was still stunned by how much she had gone through. At the same time, I could help feeling a little jealous of her. Unlike me, Shirase had parents who genuinely trusted and supported her when she needed them most.

What surprised me even more was how much she already knew about me. She had secretly investigated me using her own drone and spent countless hours watching my daily videos recorded by my drones after gaining access to my drone account. She had even gone out her way to support the web novel I was currently working on.

After hearing everything she had done, I couldn't simply ignore her efforts. She genuinely cared about me, just like Hayashi-san did, and I could tell her feelings were serious.

Honestly, I had to admit that Shirase was incredibly obsessive when it came to me.

Even so, I remained cautious. That was why I had made her sign the relationship contract I had prepared for us.

"Thank you for telling me everything, Shirase." I said, hugging her while pressing my head against her chest. "Promise me you'll stay by my side."

I felt her gently patting my head, which made me look up at her. She was smiling warmly.

"Of course, Youjin. I won't leave you. That's why I love you. Love you very much!"

My girlfriend held my cheeks and we shared a brief kiss.

Even after everything we had talking about, I still found myself blushing whenever we became affectionate with each other, especially our kissing session.

"I love you too, Shirase. Very much!"

Our kiss turned into make-out session as we continued kissing each other passionately while hugging each other and lying on the couch, even we made moaning sounds.

We stayed close together on the couch for a while, enjoying the quiet moments between us.

Later, after our intense kiss, we panted together while looking at each other. Then we suddenly giggled.

"Wow! That was the best kiss I've ever had with you, Shirase." I said happily, still feeling embarrassed.

"Me too, Youjin. I never thought you would be such a good kisser."

"And you're pretty good yourself, Shirase."

We laughed together and continued cuddling each other on the couch. Then I noticed something about her expression. She had that frighteningly intense look again. Her yandere-like expression was honestly a little scary. But somehow, it was also amusing.

Normally, that kind of behavior would have made me nervous. However, after everything that had happened between us, I wasn't as frightened by it anymore. As an otaku, I had seen plenty of yandere characters in anime and manga. Still, experiencing it firsthand was certainly different.

Thanks to Shirase, today had become one of the most memorable days of my life.

*

A few hours later, after we finished our dinner date at my apartment, we decided it was time to head to the train station. I wanted to escort Shirase there, so she could safely return home, just like I did with her for the first time on the day I had saved her from danger.

"Hey, Shirase. Before we leave, could we take our first selfie together?"

I suddenly realized that we hadn't taken a single picture together since becoming an official couple.

"Fufu! Of course, Youjin." She replied with a giggle.

My idea for our first selfie was to take the picture of us with the signed relationship contract.

"Hold this, Shirase." I said, handing her the contract. "Let's take a selfie with it, if you don't mind."

She glanced at the paper before smiling.

"Sure. I'll prove how loyal I am as your girlfriend with this, Youjin."

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and opened the camera.

"All right, Shirase. Get ready."

I stood beside her and raised my phone.

"And… smile!"

On my phone screen, Shirase and I stood side by side with smiles on your faces while she held up the signed contract.

I tapped the screen.

Click…

And just like that, we had taken out first selfie together.

Then I immediately showed her the picture.

"What do you think, Shirase?"

She took my phone and examined the photo closely.

"We look great together, Youjin. Thank you!" She said cheerfully, then pointing at her hair on my phone screen. "But I hope you don't mind my long bangs."

I chuckled.

"Of course not. You look beautiful with your bangs, you know."

She smiled happily.

"Please send me that picture, Youjin."

"Sure."

I sent the picture of our first selfie to her phone.

"Thanks. Now, come on. It's getting late."

She placed the contract carefully on the table before taking my hand and gently pulling toward the door.

A few moments later, we left my apartment.

As we walked along the street toward the station, I glanced at shirase while holding her hand.

"Thank you again for today, Shirase." I said with a smile. "You made my day!"

She giggled.

"Anything for my boyfriend, Youjin. And I'm very happy that you accepted my feelings."

I nodded and held her hand a little more firmly as we continued walking.

"By the way." Shirase suddenly said. "Now that we're officially dating, are you ready to tell everyone at school about our relationship tomorrow?"

Her question immediately sent a chill down my spine.

I could already imagine everyone's reactions. Especially the four girls who had betrayed me, Nonaka-san, Susami-san, Hana-san and Sakura-san. They would probably be shocked when they learned that I had found someone I could trust again.

After thinking about it for a moment, I smirked.

"Of course, Shirase. I am ready. Let's see how everyone reacts to us… especially those b*tches!"

Shirase giggled beside me.

"Fufu! Exactly. Just remember, I am not like them, Youjin."

"I know, Shirase. I know."

Later, we arrived in front of the train station.

"Thank you for escorting me, Youjin." Shirase said happily, clasping her hands. "Just like the first time."

I nodded with a grin.

"Right. I remember that. Oh, you're welcome."

Without hesitation, I gently grab her head to give her a quick kiss goodbye. We both blushed afterward, even though several people nearby had noticed us.

"Ara ara! You're surprisingly bold tonight, Youjin."

"Hehe. Sorry about that."

I rubbed the back of my head awkwardly.

"But anyway, like I told you before, beware of perverts."

Shirase nodded and turned around as she began walking toward the station entrance.

"Good night, Youjin."

She stopped for a moment and looked back at me.

"See you tomorrow!"

I smiled and waved.

"You too, Shirase. Good night and see you tomorrow."

I watched as my girlfriend disappeared into the crowd inside the station and began to walk back to my apartment.

*

Later, I returned home safely.

As soon as I entered the apartment, I received two messages. One from Shirase and the other was from my landlady Hayashi-san.

Moments ago, before our dinner, Shirase and I had exchanged phone numbers, so we could contact each other directly whenever we wanted instead of relying only on the online chat with our account's different names Shizuka_Suki and Koushasu.

I opened the messages.

Shirase: Hey, Youjin. I finally got home! Don't forget to make your bento tomorrow. And I will make mine too, so let's eat together at school!

Hayashi: Good evening, Youjin. I'll be back tomorrow morning instead of tonight. I hope you're doing well.

Right. I had almost forgotten that Hayashi was taking a vacation by herself since Friday.

I had thought she would return to the apartment tonight, but apparently, she would be coming back tomorrow instead.

As for Shirase, I would gladly do something as simple as eating lunch with her if it made her happy. She had asked me about eating together at school last Friday, after all.

Normally, I wouldn't have wanted to eat there because of the principal Shinohara-sensei who gave me the punishment before when she believed the false accusation from my former friend Susami-san, even she already had lifted the stupid ban for me.

There was no reason for me to refuse Shirase now. I wanted to make my girlfriend, Shirase Outaka, happy.

Unlike my former girlfriend Nonaka-san, my childhood friend who had betrayed me and ruined everything between us, Shirase had shown me something completely different.

Trust.

After everything Shirase had told me, everything she had done for me, and everything I had learned about her, I considered Shirase to be the girl I trusted the most.

Of course, Hayashi-san remained just as important to me. She had believed my side of the story from the very beginning, without demanding that I show her the evidence recorded by my drones.

That alone meant more to me than I could into words.

Still, I wasn't going to abandon my cautious nature.

No matter how much things had changed, I would remain careful for the rest of my life. I had learned the hard way that trusting the wrong people could completely destroy everything.

I would stay alert. I would be careful. And I would never allow myself to become careless again.

For now, there were only two people I could only trust. My landlady Hayashi-san. And my second girlfriend Shirase Outaka.

Those two were the people I trusted most in the world.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: There you have it! Now you readers know about Shirase's past (with her POV). More importantly, Shirase and Youjin have something in common if you noticed something when you read this chapter.

I had said this before, but I will say it again: I'm deeply, deeply sorry for not updating my web novel since February 2026 (due to my work at the company and home with stress, and my other hobbies)!

Anyway, for the next chapter, SNEAK PEEK! Youjin and Shirase will reveal their relationship to everyone at school? What everyone's reaction (especially, Nonaka-san's, Susami-san's and Youjin's stepsisters') will be? STAY TUNED!
