Even if there were any traces, they have long since been drowned in the river of time.
Rod knew very clearly that, for a situation like this, there was only one possible method—prophecy.
Only through prophecy could one find the traces of the Supremely Evil Person's existence, could one discern what he had done, and how the Black Fog came into being.
