Hugh said, seemingly recalling something, as a strange gleam flashed in his eyes.
However, that kid did give him quite a few 'surprises.'
Listening to Hugh's words, Selena nodded.
"Oh, I see..."
She didn't continue to ask.
And while Selena was spaced out, Hugh moved to the seat behind.
Selena snapped back to reality and found that Hugh had left the spot where he was sitting just now.

She glanced at Sterling suspiciously and spoke up, "Is Hugh treating me like some kind of monster?"
Sterling chuckled softly, "No, don't overthink it."
Sterling's expression was as usual, showing no signs of anything amiss. Selena watched him for a moment and then looked away.
But then Sterling hooked Selena's leg.
Making Selena turn back to look at him, "What's up?"
Selena asked curiously.
Seeing Selena's attention back on him, Sterling's lips curved slightly, seeming to anticipate the following days of solitude together, and he felt quite delighted.
