Du Heng rolled his eyes and tapped Wu Shengnan's forehead with the invitation. "Are you being silly? Is this about money? It's a question of appropriateness!"
Wu Shengnan said aggrievedly, "What's so inappropriate? The money you earned is all legal income; it can withstand any scrutiny. What's wrong with spending our own money?"
"Yes, there's nothing wrong with spending our own money," Du Heng said, exasperated. "But shouldn't you consider our identities and your father's situation? The money itself isn't the issue, but you can't stop people from getting jealous or scheming. Remember what your father taught me last time: 'Gossip is a fearful thing.'"
Having been tapped on the head, Wu Shengnan glared at Du Heng resentfully. "Talk properly! Why did you hit me?"
