Kai Syaoran slowly regained his senses and looked over at Zhao Lusi. Her stepping in to anchor him was a matter of course, but Red Lotus's sudden support was entirely unexpected. He turned his head and looked down at her. She clearly noticed his questioning gaze but paid it no mind at all, continuing to firmly hold his hand while keeping her eyes locked on the turbulent battlefield in the sky. Kai Syaoran smiled faintly, thinking to himself that he had finally managed to get this disrespectful, arrogant brat to yield to his presence. He was wrong, very wrong.
High in the sky, Black Lotus began to smile as he looked at the surviving monarchs who had foolishly chosen to face him. His fierce grin reached from ear to ear. Quickly, he burst into a boisterous, echoing laughter that violently shocked the hearts of all who heard it.
