It was the first time he felt content waking up in his mental space; he knew that, in the real world, his body had to be mended.
Walking through the endless metal corridors of his mind, it didn't take him long to reach his destination—a colossal room containing one of the most powerful beings in his world, trapped behind titanic bars.
"How are you, Kyubi?!"
"Don't scream, you idiot!" The shrill voice of his jailer echoed throughout the place, causing discomfort for the nine-tailed fox, who had to wake up from his sleep.
Giving a long yawn, the large animal stood up to stretch its limbs and arched its back until it produced a thunderclap.
"Were you really sleeping this whole time?" He asked incredulously, considering there wasn't much else to do here besides sleep. He wished he could change this place.
"No, I went to salsa dancing classes and wrote my autobiographical book."
"You know, for such an ancient and powerful being, you talk like Sokka, you're very sarcastic."
"What the heck do you want?" He growled, annoyed at having to listen to the teenager compare him to that human.
"Can't I visit my favorite giant fox?"
"They broke your ass again, didn't they?" mocked the Kyubi, concealing a smile when he saw the Uzumaki's angry expression, "Can you still sit?"
Since the incident at the North Pole, the boy came from time to time to talk about whatever came into his head, even when he went to sleep, he would appear here to tell everything that happened in his day.
Was it tedious to listen to?
And.
Did it bother you?
And.
But... sometimes it was better than eternal silence.
"So you saw me fight, huh..." Naruto gave a defeated sigh and dropped into the water, sitting in the flooded sewers of his mind space, "What do you think?"
"He's strong…" Frowning, the fox narrowed his gaze, "If I had to compare him to someone, I would say he has the strength of the old woman with huge breasts and the speed of the weirdo with big eyebrows."
"That's bad."
"Yes, you almost cost me my life, brat."
"Hey! I could have died too."
"Stop talking about unimportant things, for now, you better stay away from that guy, he will make you shit."
"I can't; if it appears again, I have to face it. I can't run away while my friends' lives are at risk."
"You don't know how much I hate your hero complex; you look too much like Jiji."
"Jiji? Do you have a grandfather?"
The nine-tailed fox clicked his tongue in annoyance. He had to measure his words better; he did not want to talk too much in front of this human.
"That doesn't matter now; until we return to our world, I'm still at risk, and I have to ask, do you have a plan?"
He was desperate, although he would not admit it to his jailer; he was worried that in a second encounter, they would not have as much luck against that human, and there was still a long way to go for the Yondaime's seal to deteriorate, perhaps about five years.
His opinions were few, even if the boy burst into rage and released a tail—maybe two—considering he now had greater stamina and vitality since his fight against the Uchiha in the Valley of the End.
He had to be smart about the decisions he would make now.
"Yes! Train harder and beat that bastard's face!"
Apparently, cunning wasn't one of the Uzumaki's greatest characteristics; this obviously made the giant fox look at him with disappointment. Why did all his jinchurikis have to be such idiots?
Mito was a scholar when it came to seals and everything spiritual. Not for nothing, she was the one who brought the Shinigami masks to the physical plane. However, when it came to cunning or solving simple problems, he would never forget the day when Hashirama was almost killed for solving a Rubik's Cube in five minutes, while his wife hadn't been able to solve it for two weeks.
As for Kushina, well, she was the muscle of the team so to speak. She worked many times with her husband on the battlefield, not as a strategist, but as the tough head who was always in front dealing blows left and right. The entire strategy was in Minato's hands, while his wife behaved like his wife.
"Although I hate to think about it, at times like this, it would have been better for me if he looked like his father," the giant fox thought frustratedly and sighed in resignation. He had to work with what he had at his disposal.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Naruto wasn't liking the look of disappointment the fox was giving him at all; that look just meant 'you're a lost cause.'
"You are an idiot."
"You were silent for so long to just say that?!"
"What else did you expect?"
"I don't know! Something like 'I'll train you'!"
"Train yourself?!"
The huge Biju's thunderous laughter echoed throughout the sewer. It wasn't until almost a minute later that he stopped laughing, although his mocking smile wouldn't disappear so soon.
"I'm a Biju! What good is it for me to know ninja techniques that I can't use? Do you see me making shadow clones and spitting water? Your level of idiocy surprises me every day."
He was a thousand-year-old Biju, never in the least interested in learning human techniques.
"But you were in other Jinchurikis! Didn't you learn anything from them?"
"Believe me, you don't want to know what I saw in my previous containers," he muttered under his breath, as dark memories returned to his mind.
"Ahhh~ Come on, harder."
"Minato~ not so fast, I want you to finish in my mouth!"
"Hashirama~! I'm coming!"
"Myth! It's amazing how you squeeze my p***!"
"Don't stop! Don't stop and give it all to me, you son of a bitch!"
"Kushina~! You... move too hard! You're going to break my pelvis!"
"Minato~! Minato~!"
"Ahhhh! Kushina!"
"We still have all night, baby. An Uzumaki never stops until she is satisfied."
"Oh God."
"No god, it's me; now get tough and let's continue with the fun."
"Uggghhhh."
Naruto didn't know why the Kyubi had such a traumatized look, but it seemed something horrible. Maybe it would be better not to ask what was going through his mind right now.
"So... What do you advise me?"
The fox watched as the boy looked interestedly at his feet after that vague question. Was the arrogant and loud-mouthed brat asking him for advice? Ha.
"Where did you put all that pride? I don't think it all fits in your ass."
"Fuck you! If you don't help, then I'll do it myself! Again!" Angrily, he crossed his arms and turned around to turn his back on the Kyubi; now he could only wait until he woke up.
The silence between the two was long and sepulchral.
Until the Biju was heard snorting.
"Wind…"
"Uhh?" Naruto raised an eyebrow at that word, "Wind?"
"Shinobi have different natural chakras, which allow them to manipulate the elements by Ninjutsu. I have seen that if you are advanced enough, you can manipulate the elements without even making hand signs, like the people of this world, but only a very few have achieved it."
Something Jiji understood from the early chakra users outside of the Otsutsuki family was that they needed to use hand seals to use different elemental techniques. However, there were few cases where they became so skilled that they could use the elements at will, without the need for hand stamps.
The Biju doubted the brat would accomplish that; it would take decades of training to even scratch the surface of elemental manipulation. But it was at least worth seeing how much he could do. The boy was full of surprises.
"Wind?" Naruto looked at his hands for several seconds.
Could he do something similar to what Kakashi-sensei's Raikiri was? Only with wind.
It sounded… incredible.
And I already had an idea of who can be a teacher.
"Take that shitty look out of your eyes," Kyubi growled disgustedly as he saw the bright look of the brat, who had that big smile on his face. He felt like he would go blind from the Uzumaki's aura so bright.
"Thank you, Kyubi! This will be very helpful... me, well thank you again."
"Hmfff, don't be confused, I still want you dead."
"You know... when the time comes, when I have already been Hokage and I retire for being a senile and useless old man, when I have seen my grandchildren grow up and tell them my story... I promise that I will free you myself."
"…"
"And if it makes you feel better, you can step on my body as many times as you want when you're out of my mind."
"Heh... actually, I was thinking of reducing you to dust with a Biju lady, but trampling you like a bug sounds more fun."
"You are a sadist, although it would look funny."
The image of a free Kyubi trampling on an elderly Naruto made him chuckle.
"..." the fox remained silent as he watched the boy shine for a few seconds, then disappear from his subconscious. Slowly, the Biju lay back in his prison, slowly closing his eyes.
'Kurama... humans are cruel, they are selfish, they are everything bad in this world...
But…
He also has kindness, humility and being the best this world can offer…
You will be hurt, pressured, and picked on by people who will hate you just for being different from them.
How are you also going to smile, laugh, and enjoy the company of someone who understands you, who accompanies you, who gives you everything that I couldn't.
Give them a chance; that's all I can ask for...
The Biju's eyes shone for a few seconds, looking at the ghostly silhouette of an old man before him, who gave him a soft and warm smile, and then carefully caressed his large nose with the palm of his hand.
The Fox's eyes watered for a few seconds, but they disappeared as soon as they appeared.
Shaking his head, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
