Renee heard that Adam Sinclair's secretary had also called him, her eyes averted, and her left hand unconsciously touched her belly. When she realized what she was doing, she found her subconscious action laughable. She resolutely moved her hand away, placing it back on her thigh.
"If you knew everything, why did you still give me money?"
Austin Harper chuckled bitterly, "I don't know why either, just think of me as a fool. Anyway, I still feel that you are the Sister Renee I knew."
After he finished speaking, his hands hidden by his side clenched into fists, trying hard to control his emotions, "Don't think about the child anymore, it's gone. Just consider it that you and this child were not meant to be."
After all, it was his own child, only he knew how heartbroken he was when he uttered those words. From the moment he knew the child was gone, his heart was in so much pain it was almost numb. He didn't know how he convinced himself not to think about it.
