"So, why did she suddenly call me? Just to hear me poke at her for a moment of displeasure?" Jane Sampson looked at Coco Edwards, bewildered, "It's not like she's concerned about whether I'll have lunch or join the afternoon group activities, right?"
"I don't know." Coco Edwards was even more confused than Jane Sampson, "Logically, given your relationship, you both can't keep pretending to be good friends. You'd think she'd see you and just ignore it, but instead, she calls you out every time she sees you."
Every time, Jillian Carter wanted to irk Jane Sampson, but in the end, it was Jane who left Jillian fuming.
"Who knows." Jane Sampson shrugged, "A woman's heart is like a needle at the bottom of the sea."
After speaking, Jane Sampson tugged her scarf and looped her arm around Coco Edwards as they headed upstairs.
