Aldana Candi couldn't help but cough lightly and shook her head, "No."
Perhaps because she felt a bit guilty for deceiving him, she had assumed a variety of reactions, and his quick consent was somewhat unexpected.
The man chuckled a few times, "I don't need anything. Have fun chatting with Angela."
Aldana nodded.
After dinner, Angela Summer held her hand and said to Philip Shaw, "Young Master, I'm taking Miss Aldana out."
Philip Shaw smiled and nodded.
Seeing how pale his face was, Aldana couldn't help but say, "Don't wait up for me tonight, remember to go to bed early."
The man responded, "Don't stay out too late either, and stay safe."
Ellen Candi sat cross-legged on the sofa, holding a fruit platter, listening to their conversation, and feeling a toothache from the sweetness. They were just going out for some shopping, why make it sound like a long trip? And a very long one at that.
