Aldana Candi curled up on the bed, the pain gradually fading away, leaving her with a dull exhaustion.
She closed her eyes and said to Philip Shaw, "Go boil some hot water."
Perhaps he was startled by being kicked out earlier, but now he was obedient, complying with the command without a word of complaint, obediently going to the kitchen to start boiling water.
Aldana kept her eyes shut, exhaled softly in relief, and leaned back to rest on the bed.
After a while, the man emerged from the kitchen and said to her, "The hot water is ready. Do you want to take a bath?"
Aldana opened her eyes, noticing Philip Shaw's alabaster-like face had been blackened by the smoke. She glanced at his unfortunate face for a moment and sat up from the bed, "Aren't you washing up?"
He seemed a bit uneasy, touched his own clothes, and softly said, "My clothes are already dry, it's fine. You can wash first."
