She rolled over towards the bed, lifting her head in a disheveled state to look ahead, and saw a tall, upright man standing by the bed. He reached out a hand towards her, and seeing her evasiveness, he slightly furrowed his brow.
Aldana saw his face and was slightly stunned. The man looked at her, with a faint pain emerging in his dark pupils. Then he reached out, grabbed her wrist, and yanked her from the bed, holding her tightly, almost suffocatingly, in his arms.
The man's chest was as hard as iron, with a slight scent of blood on him, gradually clearing Aldana's mind. She began to hear screams, fighting, and gunfire coming from downstairs.
