Chapter 11 - Who is Gold?

"Yes, Boss, you are pregnant, and the doctors said that you shouldn't stress yourself," Tasha said.

"Yes, Boss! The baby is going to be our young master," Rubby chimed in.

"So, it's true... I am pregnant," Jessy whispered to herself, stunned.

"Yeah, Boss, it's true. We didn't even know that you were married. Your husband will be so happy when you tell him about the pregnancy," Tasha said.

Jessy sighed. "Mmmmh, I don't even know who the father is. I was drugged, had a one-night stand, and boom—I'm pregnant. I haven't even achieved my dreams of making it big in the capital yet, and here I am, expecting a baby."

She paused, her expression hardening with determination.

"But worry less. I will still lead the project. Our Golden Empire has never failed before, and I refuse to start now!"

"But, Boss, the doctors said you mustn't overexert yourself. You need enough rest," Rubby protested. "Besides, this empire belongs to all of us. You can work from home and send us instructions; we will follow them perfectly."

"Haha, leave it to Rubby," Jessy laughed. "Now, we have to work together. Remember, we have new projects and designs to produce. I know how tirelessly you two have been working to maintain our position as the top design industry, complete with the best, most mysterious designers and a beautiful model. Even though you guys didn't know my true identity, you trusted me and never betrayed me. Therefore, as a token of my appreciation, I am giving you Pinnacle Garments. It's my company, too. From this day forward, if either of you has an inspiration, you can launch it at Pinnacle."

Tasha gasped. "Boss, what did you just say?"

"You're saying Pinnacle is a branch of our company?" Rubby asked, wide-eyed.

"Yes, it's my gift to you two. And Rubby, the models at Pinnacle are all yours. You have the experience, so you can officially start your own modeling school there," Jessy said.

"Wow...! Thank you, Boss! We shall build an industry that will forever be remembered in the imperial capital and across nations abroad," Tasha vowed.

Even though Tasha Young came from one of the wealthiest families in the imperial capital, she had always worked hard for everything she owned. From high school through university, she had remained strictly independent and never looked down on anyone. She was down-to-earth, always fearing that if people discovered her true identity, they would only try to use her.

But when she met a mysterious designer named 'Gold' on the internet, she was surprised by how much this person valued her, even offering her a major career opportunity.

Back then, Tasha had requested an in-person meeting, but Gold had declined, saying, "Now is not the time. Let's work together first and build a name that can never be destroyed."

"Are you sure you can trust me? I mean, we don't even know each other," Tasha had replied.

Gold had laughed. "Hahaha, I know you, Tasha Young. The 23-year-old, independent, only daughter of the Young family, fiercely loved by her three older brothers."

"Haha, you truly do know me! Then who are you?" Tasha had asked, startled.

"Don't worry. I'm afraid that if I tell you who I am right now, you won't want to work with me. To keep things safe, let's just say I am your sister from now on," Jessy had replied.

Back then, Tasha simply wanted to see if her talent was up to par. Yet, in only one year, her designs had brought in over a billion in sales. This massive success was because Tasha knew the right people within high-society circles, and Jessy was a unique, peerless master of design. When influential figures stumbled upon their exclusive website and unique creations, they purchased them instantly.

To the public's absolute surprise, the materials used were original, rare, nano-woven gossamer. Such magical fabrics could only be produced by a genius scientist and engineer, which was exactly what Gold was.

"Work..! Work..! Work!" Rubby chanted.

Rubby was neither simple nor ordinary. Compared to both Jessy and Tasha, her background was far more complicated, though it had always brought positive energy to the team.

The trio kept themselves busy until late into the night. Because they had built a luxurious penthouse on top of the corporate building, they simply spent the night there.

Time passed by rapidly, and the day Eller had been dreaming of finally arrived. Even though Eller rarely had time for herself, she frequently called Jessy to check on her, already regarding her as a sister-in-law.

Today was the official launch of Eller's own designs and models. She had been a passionate jewelry designer since childhood, and though she was deeply involved in technology, it hadn't stopped her from realizing her artistic dreams. Backed by the immense power of her family, her vision had finally come to life.

"Do you think my master will appear tonight?" Eller asked one of her top models.

"According to what our third boss said, Master Ghost and Gold are the same person, so they definitely have to attend," the model replied. She only shared this secret because Eller, despite being the daughter of the most powerful family, was never arrogant or cold toward them. She treated everyone with genuine respect, never putting on airs like other wealthy socialites.

"I certainly hope so. Even though I come from a wealthy family, it's all thanks to them that I realized how important and unique my jewelry designs actually were," Eller said softly.

"Don't worry, Boss, we believe they will show up this time around," the model reassured her. She, too, was dying to know who their ultimate boss was.

Right then, a security guard knocked and entered. "Miss Gray, you have a dress delivery from the Gold Empire. The designer sent a message: 'I have a beautiful dress for a beautiful heart, but it must be paired with a beautiful gold necklace and ring.' The shoes are also the latest models from the Gold Empire. Furthermore, she noted that there is no need to return the dress—it is entirely yours."

"Wow, this 'Gold' must be in love with my daughter," her mother, Mrs. Gray, teased.

Eller stared at the box delivered to her dressing room. Inside lay a gown that seemed to be woven from starlight itself—a signature creation of the Gold Empire. Attached was a note written in elegant, sharp calligraphy:

"A beautiful dress for a beautiful heart. It craves to be paired with Gray jewelry. Tonight, the world will see the true definition of elegance. — #Gold"

"Mom, look at this," Eller whispered, running her fingers over the fabric. It was as soft as water, yet it held its shape like a flawless sculpture. "Gold has never gifted a dress to a socialite before. Why me?"

Mrs. Gray smiled, gently adjusting her pearls. "Perhaps she knows that a Gray never stands alone. Or perhaps... she's already family." She paused, looking toward the door.

"Your elder brother will be here soon, by the way."

Eller looked up, surprised. "Didn't he travel abroad on a mission?"

"Your brother is coming back. His mission is completed, and he insisted that he couldn't miss such a beautiful occasion for his sister," Mrs. Gray said warmly.
