On a snowy night, snowflakes drifted down from the deep blue sky, and the ground was quickly blanketed with a thin, white layer of snow. Walking on it made a crunching sound underfoot.
"Where are you taking me?" Sienna Johnson asked.
"To a Haunted House."
Sienna's heart was pounding wildly; she was genuinely afraid of ghosts, even if she didn't know whether they actually existed in this world.
"Why are you so obsessed with taking me to a Haunted House?" Sienna asked in confusion.
"Because I want to see you so scared that you throw yourself into my arms…" He turned his head to look at her face as he spoke.
"I'm not going to throw myself into your arms!"
They passed an intersection and saw an elderly man in a green army coat selling roasted sweet potatoes. All of a sudden, Sienna remembered that Noah Phillips was allergic to sweet potato skins.
