Ward glanced at Adrian and his group, then leaned in to whisper something to Adrian. Adrian's expression changed suddenly, and he walked away briskly without saying a word.
Trevor and Ward exchanged looks.
"What happened?"
"Not sure, but judging by Adrian's reaction, he was pretty upset," Trevor said.
Ward looked towards Samara, only to realize she had left at some point, and his eyes showed a hint of disappointment.
Were it not for the fact that she's Adrian's sister-in-law, Ward would have pursued her at all costs.
Trevor noticed his friend's thoughts and warned, "You know Adrian's temperament better than anyone—he never lets things slide. Since he said so, you'd better not mess with her."
