Henry Evans first noticed Noah Phillips. She nudged Sienna Johnson's arm, whispering, "Your heartthrob is here..."
Adrian Desmond, with his sharp ears, overheard them. His cold gaze swept over, and Henry immediately shut her mouth, not daring to speak recklessly.

"Did you invite him?" Adrian asked unhappily.
"No," replied Sienna, who also saw Noah. They actually hadn't been in touch much, only exchanging holiday texts and calls.
Once, they were so close, relying on each other as their safe haven, but now they weren't even as close as ordinary friends.
"I'll go over and say hello."
Sienna had just taken a step when Adrian pulled her back, "You're not allowed to go."
