Chapter 91 — Region of Frost XXIII: Loose Experiments
The message with his son almost had him running to Freecs immediately. The urge to be there with his children in battle to protect them overtook his mind. Yet, Sidonius knew that he was the only Desdemona in a position to lead the region. As a Graver it is his responsibility to ensure safety over this region.
So, he sits and makes contact with the people he knows can assists. He messages his sister and his wife. In that order.
Over the screen his sister stares at him. Her eyes as cold as they were when she denied lordship over this land in order to pursue their current High Lord. When Sidonius tells her the situation she looks—unimpressed.
"That girl, I expected better."
Sidonius is wise enough to stay silent though the protective urge of the uncle threatens to rise up.
"Sadly, with the other regions having similar issues I cannot spare any soldiers."
"Not even for your niece and nephew."
"Not even for my daughter."
