"You changed your mind?" Leyan questioned as both Tianci and Yuqi stopped in their track from the room.
"Um... N-No——Wait! What can I do to convince you guys to let me go? Please, just tell me, anything."
As Xiaoyun pleaded with a sincere, begging face, several of his wives behind Leyan started to feel a little bad.
"Mom, there's no point in pushing him any further." Yueyue quietly murmured first.
"Yeah. Didn't you say in the past that we know what we signed up for when we married him over somebody else?" Nami added next.
"Leyan, I know this is hard for you... But sometimes we need to learn to let it go."
Shuli tried to gently pat Leyan on the shoulder, only to have her hand instantly pushed away to the side.
"You don't understand how painful it was for the past twenty years. I'd rather die than live without him again."
"I sincerely doubt he'll die out there. The last thing that's more likely to happen is everyone dying out there other than him."
