Evan observed from atop a cliff ,"NICE WORK APOLLO, I THINK YOU'RE FINALLY READY!!!"
Apollo looked at him ,"Ready for what?"
,"Just Come over here!" Apollo ran over and stood right beside him
,"So what do you got for me to do?"
,"Well, it's about time that you have almost reached the level of our rookies so I'm giving you one final challenge."
Apollo paused before asking ,"May I ask what this challenge may be?"
Evan smiled at him, full of whimsy ,"You'll fight me at a reduced power level."
… When everyone was gathered together they all entered a stone palace, when they got inside they saw a huge ceiling with ornate windows all around. Walking further in, Evan opened up a passage that led to a long hallway, through that hallway they saw a light on the other side. And when they got through the other side, a massive stone circle with a carved out top was revealed, shining light down on the stones ,"This is the area for our final test, the floor regenerates and there will be a shield when combat is sensed, it's the perfect place to test your might." The area itself was about 200 meters in diameter, which was pretty small compared to most fights that they had. ,"Just so you guys know, I will be putting on power limiters on myself that limit myself to the power of a rookie at our military academy. I want to put your skills to the test so give me all you got! Apollo, come on over here!"
Apollo walked over to one side of the arena and summoned Akarui, VOOMP. Evan asked ,"Are you ready?" Apollo nodded and instantly put his sword up, getting into his stance. They both circled each other, Evan smiled, his hand up.
Apollo asked ,"Where's your weapon?"
Evan smirked ,"I'm an arts specialist." As soon as Apollo swung down his sword, Evan summoned a Barrier to block and redirect the blow and then condensed Wind in his palm. Right as he was about to hit Apollo, Apollo summoned a barrier at the last minute VWOMP BOOM. Apollo flew back a few meters as he readied his sword again, Lightning erupted from Evan's palms as it condensed into two lines that went both behind and in front of Apollo, he blocked one of them and dodged the other but then it spread out into different tendrils that drilled into his body, the energy went from his head to out his feet BWOOSH.
He was shocked from the blow but because of unification, the effect didn't cause him to drop his guard. He closed in and dropped his sword to his right side, imbuing it with Water Slayer whilst activating Art: Battle mode. He let the water ripple through space as he send Water Waves and Spinning Water Waves he summoned in the air and pelted them at the man. Unfortunately for Apollo, Evan had placed Barriers around at just the right size and strength to stop the attacks from ever reaching him, SWOOSH. Evan looked forward (Isn't that Apollo?!?).
What looked like Apollo was actually a Refraction Clone made by his water. He barely sensed Apollo approaching because Apollo had blended in with the Arts that he flung at him. Apollo raised his sword up to Evan's neck and stopped just short. Evan began clapping ,"Good job Apollo. You may not be as powerful as they come right now, but even now, you have surpassed a lot of people with just pure skill and immediate planning. Some of our courses will help to further hone your abilities to an even higher level. Tomorrow, you'll be sent to our academy."
Apollo laughed ,"You can't just say that, I know that you let me win."
Evan smirked ,"Well I can't be completely unfair, if I used the Arts or my hand to hand combat I specialize in, you'd have been dead already."
Apollo shuddered for a second, when he looked into Evan's eyes, he was completely serious.
Evan shouted ,"Who's next!"
Noah raised his hand in excitement ,"ME!!!"
Evan smirked ,"Somehow I knew you were going to be next." In fact, Evan could feel the bloodlust oozing off of Noah's blood red aura. He walked into the barrier as Apollo walked out of it. He was oozing power, not only from his ki but also from his bulging muscles. He had ripped his shirt a while ago fighting something and only had nearly shredded pants that barely hung on.
Evan smiled at him ,"Ready?"
Noah screamed ,"YEAH!!!" He darted over to Evan and threw a right hook, Evan rolled under the punch WHOOSH. Evan formed Barriers together into a box like shape and accelerated it towards Noah, hitting right where his liver should be BOOM. Noah smiled and began throwing punch after punch and kick after kick FOOM WHOOSH FOOM FOOM. Evan kept dodging the blows and recognized something.
Evan thought to himself (Emotions amplify power, everyone at our academy knows that. It is just unknown why. Noah uses his rage, excitement and love for battle to fuel himself.) Evan was amused (Isn't that terrifying). As Noah was getting faster and faster, the amount of blows that Evan could block or counter became less and less. But it wasn't only that, Noah was also keeping track of his movements, adapting to the fight. Noah threw a front punch BAM, followed by a roundhouse BOOM chaining together many attacks at once BOOM BOOM BOOMB KABOOM KABOOM KABOOM. Evan, even though he hadn't done much in the fight knew what the outcome would be, he unlocked his power limiter and stopped Noah with Telikinesis.
